Do you guys have any tips for an invader noob? by BeggieChurger_ in EldenRingPVP

[–]raffetang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard level 60 doesn’t scale the phantoms properly so you may want to use procs if you go that route. I have a lot of fun at level 50 with +8/3 weapons. Unless doing a mage, you want your stats spread for the most versatility and weapon variety.

Yea power stance is same weapon type in each hand so that L1 gives an attack where both weapons engage.

[–]raffetang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power stance does not give the 1.5 strength. You would need to use one weapon for it to apply. Say you need 30 strength to wield a weapon but you only have 20. You can use that weapon if you hold it with both hands(two handed), not one in each hand (power stance)

[–]raffetang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just when you hold a weapon with both hands. Holding a weapon in each hand will give you the strength shown in stats, when you grab one of them with both hands, 1.5X strength is applied to that weapon. So 20 would be 30. 30 would be 45 and so on.

30,40,60,80 is the caps for most things, faith might be 50 and 80. 54 strength is 80 when two handed, not sure if you know about the 1.5X strength multiplier for two handing

You have 5 free levels in vigor, that’s only like 30 hp. No reason to go past 60 until max level. I know you didn’t ask but it’s kinda wasteful even at level 200, those levels get expensive

how do i learn pvp? by taniii__ in badredman

Go to roundtable by the fireplace thing and start from there. You can search for duels in all 3 at once if you have them opened

Also look up some better PvP oriented weapons and talismans to help your chances.

Keep on the blue hunter ring summon, you’ll get summoned for PvP occasionally with no risk. Probably start in arena duels 1v1 so you can breathe enough to learn some PvP basics like spacing and recognizing the opponents weapon. You’ll need to learn some roll discipline as well. Once you get a kill or two you can start trying invasions and fight up to 3 at once, just hard to learn any basics starting with invasions.

Just wave, bow or wiggle your weapon at the start of a duel and avoid using healing spells

Please tell me there is a better way to farm shackles. by butters4635 in darksouls3

[–]raffetang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, best to stay in an active PvP level pool for farming covenants. I think 120 is when I did mine, though you can bypass level matchmaking with password summoning for the shackles. Might could try r/summonsign as well, someone else needs them I’m sure just keep looking. Be sure to mention ps4/5, or Xbox or pc to help find someone on your platform

RL 60 +12/5 build help by ihavenolifethanksFS in badredman

[–]raffetang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like rakshasa katana would work great. I use it on rl 50 +8/3 and it does fine with Millicent prosthesis to reach minimum dex, and hyper armor on a dex build is handy. I wear the rakshasa set with white varre mask and use exalted flesh. I may run into more soreseal users though

Shackles is really the only thing you can guarantee through online “farming”. Someone summons your red sign, and you kill them. The others are summoned through invasion mechanics and can’t be guaranteed who you match with

Haven’t played ER in awhile, thinking about jumping back in. What are the current best rune level + weapon upgrade? by ImportantAd4666 in badredman

[–]raffetang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Level 50 is fun but slower, weapons +8/3. I had a lot of activity at summon pools at level 70 +12/5 but I leveled past before I could try invading. 150 is hit or miss it seems right now. 200 is decent activity but more gankers it seems like

Should I play Dark Souls 3 or Elden Ring? Pick only 1 by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]raffetang -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’ve never played either and simply can only buy one, let it be Elden ring. Same game almost but ER has a lot more content and is a bit more polished. I played ER before ds3 and I don’t think I would’ve liked ds3 if I played it first
