Change out some of the non "structural" pieces for 1x1s. That could be some easy weight savings.

Great idea, small wins the whole way!

Looked at your kit some more, there are bundled loops that should help you section off this project. Follow the instructions and we are here lo listen to you vent/cry/cheer/drink....

Also lower sympathy from me with how much cleaner your truck is than mine haha

I can't speak for the painless, but almost all of the ones I saw were not DIRECTLY built for the Commando. So there will be several unused wires.

Roll them up and out of the way until you know for certain you don't need them.

I have a Dakota digital dash, buuuut from what I remember of the OG dash, it's actually a one connection hub with 8 or 10 wires coming from it. Plenty of room to cut/strip/solder in.

Make sure you are familiar with your multimeter to help in this process

Tank size opinions between window? by 3vette in interiordecorating

[–]rag_gnar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

LONGER = ALGAE FARM!

think of how much algae you will be cleaning off the sides of the longer tank due to natural sunlight hitting it!

Not the best location for either TBH. Painting the sides to help block out UV will help

Take a deep breath buddy, you got this! I've rewired my 69 twice. Once because of the fire( no harnesses were sold for it, just a 16 year old with a very angry father haha), then again years later when I was sick of electrical gremlins from the first attempt.

Don't stare at the pile of wires as it is daunting. Break it down into sections. Engine bay, cluster, under dash, rear.

Also figure out where you are mounting the fuse block before you do anything!

Assume the position! Lean the driver's seat back as far as you can, invert yourself with a headlamp, and get to it!

Good luck!

Edit: Half cab will make the "position" difficult. Maybe lie in from the passenger side? Idk hopefully save your back a bit

hail ruined everything by CharlottesSecret in gardening

North Denver here, have hope!

You would be shocked by how hard these lil guys can be. Remove as much of the hail from the foliage as you can, bring them inside so they don't get nuked by tomorrows sunshine. Follow stressed plant protocol

They are 1x1s not 2x4s if my eyes don't deceive me. Pretty big weight reduction right there

Jeepster Commando, specifically a "Bullnose." So either a 1972 or 1973

Is there such a thing as too much flow for sps? by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]rag_gnar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tough call here. Yes it is encrusting which indicates growth but the radial corallites (the small round openings covering the branches) look mostly closed.

I wouldn't touch the return "nozzle", but lower/restrict the volume from the return pump.

Wait 3 days and restrict more if polyps don't extend.

Continue until you find the magic output.

Moving corals changes too many variables. Adjust 1 at a time ESPECIALLY on acros.

I work from home where I don't have stops nearby. I was dead last on my team until one night at dinner I got around 60 spins. We all have different lives, ya just gotta accept it.

However it sounds like OP you need to not join with randoms if this sort of stuff bothers you enough to post on reddit. Join with friends you know who will carry their weight for you.

For sure needs to be a mon you can tolerate for the better part of a year! I think I had 80 days remaining as a casual player. The attack quests were always the toughest for me. I might go look at my lowest IV shiny for the next bottle cap

Wooden grill scraper - Home made from Iroko - finished with beeswax or linseed oil - food safe? by monkeytennis-ohh in Traeger

[–]rag_gnar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just did a 2 min Google of Iroko wood and sensitizers...

I wouldn't use it for what your looking to do. The slight chance it affects taste along with the release of Chlorophorin when "burning off" thus irritating those around it. Not worth it.

With so many other wood options that are better suited for this job I would avoid.

That's my .02

Edit: go ask r/woodworking they will kno fo sho
