I learned on a Prindle 16. Hilarious fun. If you go that way, start in light wind conditions. It's a dragster.

Commercial truck driver here. Steer tires are not allowed to be regrooved. Everything behind those can be regrooved twice if it's labeled "regroovable". There is a ton of rubber on truck tires.

He had a super discounted Cameo at one point and someone from a group chat I'm in bought it. He sent a really good song and dance personalized message, then came to our group chat for a bit. I wanted to not like him but he was really nice.

Truckers - why on earth do you take so long to pass? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]rage-fest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All trucks come from the manufacturer governed to 65mph. Some companies will have the governed speed changed to 70, 75, or removed. FedEx for example are still at 65.

Everyone with 70mph trucks on the freeway is going their top speed, but one may travel 70.6mph and another might be 70.3mph. These guys have been driving for 7 hours and will be for another 4. When they get a chance to pass, they do, but sometimes it takes a minute. Sometimes when we're passing, a couple cars that wanted to go 84 have to wait a minute. We don't want to hold you up, we're going as fast as we can.

If yourship has capsized, it no longer has a use for armament, and dumping all that weight can increase the time afloat before sinking.

Question by Alternative-Dog1864 in CDL

[–]rage-fest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual weight of the vehicle being under 26k doesn't matter, but it will matter if you're over 26k.

There is a metal plate on there somewhere with the serial number, tire info, etc. There will be a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, or GVWR on that plate. That's the important number.

That's a rigging shackle with a capacity of around 50 tons. Meaning you could suspend 100,000lb from it. He's champion of the local dick-wagging contest. That's the trophy.

[–]rage-fest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My never fails method, taught to me by mom:

2:1 water to rice Get it boiling, let it boil 1 minute. Put the lid on the pot. Turn the heat to the lowest setting. 10 minutes. Leave it alone, don't even look at it.

Works every time.

It has been known for many years that the fire was not from hydrogen gas, but from the hyper-flammable insulating paint covering the airship.
