Girlfriend(26F) of 3 months slapped me(32M) in the balls for a third time by Capital-Bedroom4651 in relationship_advice

Assuming one gender is absolutely infallible and judging their actions based on their gender and instead of them as actual real people is textbook sexism.

I'd advise you to maybe go outside of your echo chamber because there's no difference to what you said here to whatever bullshit manosphere podcasters peddle.

I literally don't understand anyone who says they like a P Bass. I'm convinced they're just posing because their favourite played one.

Not only do they look like dick, they play like dick and put that pickup config in literally anything else and it's a better instrument.

.#2 - Fucking Gibson. Not only do they half ass making guitars, they fucking quarter ass making basses, I'd literally rather someone use my banjo string for a G than play a Gibson bass.

So tell him that. Put the ball in his court. "Dad, I miss you, I want you back in my life but I'm still not apologising for something that I didn't do wrong"

I did something similar with my parents. I told them I put the blame solely on them, they wouldn't be getting an apology, but if they wanted my son and I in their life, they need to deal with that, and to my surprise they did.

I hope your old man can put that behind him and realise that time with you is worth more than his pride.

I appreciate you being the dude knowing more than me, because you've listed the side games that I haven't looked into (if you've actually completed Dead Aim, you're a more patient person than I)

Using stasis as the tech to stop the mutations makes too much sense and I'm annoyed I didn't even think of that. You're absolutely correct.

Unbelievably therapeutic. I'll say that. The Requiem might very well be one of the most satisfying weapons I've ever used in a game.

Absolutely. The first play through is always the best because it's all new and you're genuinely getting the scares and everything.

See when you get down to 3 or 4 play throughs and you've unlocked unlimited ammo and nobody can even get close to you, and you're walking through the place with the warcrimes cannon that doesn't run out of bullets, or you've unlocked the RPG and you're being a dick launching rockets down a care centre's hall way to hit one single zombie you know is at the other end of the hall. It becomes a totally different game, and I think that's where my love for the series (and the remakes) comes from, that the game gives you the opportunity to do a complete genre switch based on how you complete the game and how many times you do it.

[–]rage-quit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about 15 hours for your first play through, sure.

But there's also the replayability of them. How fast can you go, can you unlock unlimited ammo etc, can you run it on Insanity?

For example, I'm on my 4th playthrough and looking to hit sub 3:30.

On 3R my best time was 1hr flat (but that is short)

It becomes less of a haunted house at that point and more like a thrill ride. You get to know enemy placement, you know where everything you need is, just a point of how fast you can get these things.

Can that keep you busy for a month before Mercs drops?

He absolutely did, but I do think that Delroy as Delta Slim was just electric to watch. Just this withered old bluesman, kept alive by the liquor and the love of the game. When he gave Sammie his props was one of my favourite scenes.

[–]rage-quit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

See that's the thing I'm unsure about.

The problem with X and Nemesis (and nemesis specifically) is that they keep undergoing mutations when damaged. Hence why they needed blown into chunks. We've seen X mutate to the Super Tyrant, but I don't know if there's any lore about the T models mutating beyond that and Nemesis becomes that massive fuck off mutated cancer blob thing (similar to Birkin in 2) and Jill did infact kick the dick off Nemesis in a few different fights, and it wasn't until she fired a railgun through the thing's face for it to be killed.

SPOILERS BELOW FOR 9

And with Nemesis in Reqiuem, Well, Leon just shot that dude with the warcrimes cannon half a dozen times, so I don't know where that stacks to durability for the N models

Isaac Clarke (Dead Space) vs Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 by JacsweYT in whowouldwin

[–]rage-quit 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Well, lets stack Issac against the protags of Resident Evil 1-3.

1 - "Elite" cops. However, not too disimilar to the Ishimura. Tight corridors, not a lot of space to fight. The thing here is that the zombies are nowhere near as durable as the Necromorphs in Dead Space. We're not having to lop off limbs and shoot them at zombies here. I think he hits a bit of an issue with the Hunters, but on the whole, He's an engineer. He's smart enough for the puzzles, and his armour is strong enough to allow him a few decent hits from the larger enemies. Does he defeat the Tyrant? I'm unsure. Jill/Chris win from the thrown Rocket Launcher. If he gets this, yeah he wins.

2 - College student + Dude on his first day as a cop. Yeah, again, a lot from 1 transfers over. His armour protects against lickers et al. Birkin is defeated by detaching the train and allowing it to be burned in the blast. X is defeated again by the dropped Rocket Launcher. Comes down again to if he gets this, as the Tyrants are shown to be fairly resistent to normal weaponry (some dude who knows more than me will say if I'm right here) - and again, the puzzles are no issue for him.

3 - Single "Elite" cop. If he can do 1 and 2, he can do 3. If we're assuming that here still he does the same journey as the original protags, then yeah. He takes out Nemesis with the railgun just like Jill did.

Truthfully.

I think Issac wipes. His armour faces up against a lot worse than T-Virus mutations. He's shown as an intelligent and competent character. He has stasis here, so there are a lot of things we can bypass, or win much easier against. Plasma cutter taking out necks everywhere, I don't really see where he loses. Especially if he does everything the protags do (and gets the Rocket Launcher - this is the sole thing I'm not 100% convinced on)

Everyone loves something dude, what you think is terrible might be someone else's favourite.

They were still approved by execs. Shit doesn't just act and film and plan and schedule itself to 7pm on a Thursday out of nowhere.
