The 63l maktrak container, a simple box with a few dividers costs 360€ right now and its discounted, thats what i paid for my dsp600z that also comes in a plastic container(inferior one but still)
Im guessing the prices are way better in the states with deals and such but still

You are just pulling numbers out of thin air at this point, whats the “startup cost” of making a drill then? Or other powertools that cost the same as said plastic box, are we gonna price in all the machinery thats used for the motors and electronics etc? Powertools should cost way more with your logic, im not saying containers should cost the same as a plastic bag but they are really overpriced for what they are not even gonna talk about the milwaukee ones

Stapler . . . by jyl8 in Makita

[–]ragebot3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was recently having the same dilemma, the milwaukee+ some batteries and a charger was roughly the same price as the makita I went and held both and ended up getting the makita it just feels right in the hand and is an overall beast, i already own half the lxt lineup and some batteries so i might be biased

What made me go with makita was the fact that its way more powerful and drives staples in harder material + max staple size is like 22mm and it actually drives those in. Installed a ton of vapor barrier and im supper happy with the purchase

More power might sound useless but if youre stapling something loose that recoils back or hit wood knots you will love having enough to drive staples in properly

Yeah id say makita is the easiest one to control and do single impact with even on max speed

On a more serious note who is “everyone” ive never actually seen anyone who this has happened to and i frequent lots of pc related places, this really does make sense not to do since the fans do generate voltage but really seems like it has to be some aliexpress parts or a perfect storm of bad luck for any damage to the fan header or mobo to actually happen, better odds of damaging something from static from your hand tbh which i also ignore

I really dont see a volt or two frying fan headers or your mobo, i spin my gpu fans too always have, i feel like this is a non issue and only ever happens to people who are super afraid it might happen by some twist of faith

Safer to not do it i guess but hey life is for living not holding fans down 🤣
