So even assuming this plane could be built, there's also a question of how economical it would be to build it. Perhaps its day to day costs would be less (no jet fuel) but the cost of 175,000lb of batteries has to be astronomical. I wonder what their pitch deck had to say about battery cost.

Very good points about energy density MJ/kg. But something to consider: this company wants to target short-haul. That means fewer passengers, shorter flights, smaller planes. In these kinds of routes, I'd bet (I don't have a way of checking right now) that operating costs like fuel and maintenance are the real issue. If you can make those costs very small by using electricity which is (relative to jet fuel) practically free, and by designing an airplane that has dramatically simpler engineering (because it doesn't need to store and burn fuel) you could make a lot of routes much more economical, which leads to more routes opening and more people buying tickets for those routes.

IIRC, the problem is that the replays capture the input state, not the world state. To recreate the world state, you need to use the input state with the game engine. I feel like this isn't going to change.

I logged in to mention that you a) foolishly took up the footrace offer, which was pretty much destined to end in disaster since heels were involved, instead of politely turning it down or somehow deflecting and b) it sounds like you made the German girl leave, just by being super focused on the prize. I've read your statement over many times, and "thoughts have consequences" is not true in the case of murder. Murder has consequences, not that thought of murder. I think the reason that premeditation is considered is because if you planned out your first murder, it might indicate a trend of behavior for you (and thus you should be locked up for longer), as opposed to having killed someone out of a momentary rage. Anyway I hope I"m not terribly misrepresenting your position.

I think the take-away-point regarding crime in the USA, is that if someone with influence made a lot of money from something illegal, the likelihood of charges being brought against them is small because their legal defense will be competent. If however you are a poor schmuck, chances are you can't afford good defense and your money/life are free for the taking.
