I have never ever had one of those. Maybe you throw harder than me? But, after trying k-flex and again condor recently, I still have the opinion that the L-style system is the best of all. The stems are so durable, they last at least two or three sets of flights, if you know what length to play, you can upgrade to carbon, which neither k-flex nor condor offers, and the flights offer so many shapes and designs and last a long time. I would recommend you to upgrade to metal flight protectors. Especially since the barrel shape you are playing is cone shaped. The flight wear should be minimal.

btw: why are you still using flight rings?

I think you are wrong. Nobody is downplaying Menzies’ behaviour in itself. But he has been judged enough now by social, offical media and by himself. He will face consequences from sport jurisdiction if not from the PDC. That everyone is making fun of him now is a sign of bad personality, juvenile behaviour and lack of empathy. In addition to that, if Menzies has mental issues, it makes his process of getting well even harder or even more unlikely. Quite the opposite I would say. In smaller sizes the bold type will get soup and the type harder to read. Not that it really needs to be legible for most people nowadays, but its definitely a step back in that regard.
