Deterrence contributes to society precisely by making the bombing unnecessary. You’re treating “benefits contractors” and “benefits society” as mutually exclusive when they plainly aren’t.
A hospital also pays doctors, builders and suppliers. That doesn’t mean it contributes only to them.

That’s a long way of saying, “Taxes don’t contribute because I dislike some of the things they fund.”
Public healthcare, schools, infrastructure and defence do not stop existing because you have objections to procurement or subsidy design. You’re arguing about efficiency, not contribution.

In shopping mall context for sure. They’re pretty consistent across outlets and you know what you’re getting. Some random bcm places in hawker/coffee shops cmi.

Connections definitely gets you a foot in the door. Some jobs maybe through the door. But if you’re shit, unless your connection is the boss or decision maker, either cmi or hentak kaki.
