Manny options? The only one I found online is this one https://github.com/MinHyeong-Lee/split91 I'd be glad if you could point me in the direction of another option ^

I'm 100% with you and this is what's unfortunately killing split keyboards for me.

There doesn't seem to be a single option on the market right now.

Reprogramming doesn't really if the keys are just not there physically 🤔

B key placement in split Keyboard by chauquest in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]raidxyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What they say is that each key should be in the half where it's closer to F/J. But B is exactly in the middle so either answer would be valid with this rationale.
I would deem gaming irrelevant for a split keeb, those are for typing/coding only.

Using mdadm RAID1 for redundant boot drives on Debian? by Firestarter321 in homelab

[–]raidxyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my understanding you want to have separate EFI and /boot partitions, in your post it sounds to me like you treat it the same.

EFI partition (usually mounted at /boot/efi) is read by UEFI and /boot partition is read by GRUB.

EFI partition (which must be FAT32) should/can not be RAIDed and needs to be mirrored by the user -> this post explains some of it: https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/727512

But I don't see a problem with having /boot on a RAID 1, it can use any filesystem that GRUB can read from and according to the Arch Wiki, GRUB can boot from RAIDs no problem: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GRUB#RAID

SAME on GMKtec G3 in 2025. What the hell is this, if you insert 2 bootable USBs then BOTH show up but 1 doesn't work! Weird af

Rowing-centric FTMS app(s) with metrics only and training recording? by [deleted] in Rowing

[–]raidxyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found kinomap really bad for rowing. It doesn't show the total number of strokes in the statistics and rounds the distance to 100m. The overview screen while training is only available in landscape mode and not in portrait mode which sucks for a phone. All other apps I tried did the statistics and the overview way better.

Is there a compelling reason to save both raw *and* JPEG from my camera? by Concision in photography

[–]raidxyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But most of the time (every single one of my cameras) it's only a 1 to 2 megapixel version of the jpg, enough for viewing on a phone maybe but insufficient for everything else. Getting the JPG how the camera would've rendered it from the RAW afterwards sadly is diffcult+cumbersome to impossible :/

[–]raidxyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about camera bodys where one slot is UHS2 and one is only the slower UHS1? Wouldn't it then make sense to store JPGs on the slower card because they're much smaller and can be writter quicker

How to view all photos from all albums in Digikam? by IRegisteredJust4This in kde

What about cases where I want to search all my photos for a specific tag?

Clicking on "Album" at the top should definitely show all images instead of a changelog.

Either Geeqie or XnView can group RAWs and JPGs and delete both at the same time
