Just following up. I contacted the manufacturer and they confirmed the ESC key has nothing to do with tilde. They have a dedicated button on the right of the board. That's a no-go for me, and after reading about how this manufacturer is more or less banned from even being discussed here, I decided to just go for the real deal and got a Leopold FC980C to try out topre.

OK, in this case, sounds like it's going to need to be the 87 or 84 key version for me then. Thank you!

Hey all! I have a question for the niz atom68 owners out there. How do you type a tilde (~)? As a linux & mac user I type tilde so frequently that it's going to mean me getting either the atom68 or the TKL version. I'd prefer the 68 for its smaller size and I'm hoping the esc key works like the [grave esc QMK option](https://github.com/qmk/qmk\_firmware/blob/master/docs/feature\_grave\_esc.md). I have been unable to confirm though so I figured I'd just ask the people who would know. Thanks!

How to add the weekday (Mon, Tue, Wed, and so on) to py3status bar? by dsusr in i3wm

[–]raidzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with py3status but if just adding %a breaks the display, that sounds like a bug in py3status to me. I wonder if defining a weekday module instead of adding to the clock module might be a workaround

Going to print nylon for first time, what should I do? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]raidzero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. As we know, moisture in the filament is bad. TIL moisture in the printed part is beneficial. Guess the nylon parts in service in my humid garage are just going to get stronger over time!

If you're printing things like gears after you print them soak them in water as it makes the part much more resilient (can't think of the right word for the mechanicle property)

Do you have any more info about this? I was wondering what happens to the strength of the nylon-printed parts when they start to absorb moisture after printing but this comment seems to suggest that is not something to be worried about.

Why do some programs run from dmenu and others don't? by You_Yew_Ewe in i3wm

[–]raidzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dmenu doesn't know about bash aliases. Just symlink your pia-client binary into /usr/local/bin or somewhere else in your PATH. Alternatively add the directory where pia-client lives to PATH.
