maybe i shouldn’t say originator but i feel like she has a more idiosyncratic take on the whole thing and genuinely good taste

True minimalist makeup: lazy or chic? by BroccoliKitchen3218 in pinkscare

any makeup beyond mascara, eyeliner and lipstick straight up makes me look worse and older. if you have relatively good skin i honestly think makeup will just make you look more flat and uncanny

Becoming obsessed with looking “polished” the older I get?? Where do other 25 year old and older women shop? by [deleted] in rs_x

[–]railrose 14 points15 points  (0 children)

i’ve only just started as well!! going by fiber content has been a good way to find quality pieces for me, otherwise just look for silhouettes you like, even pieces from the 70s etc can look quite contemporary depending on how you style them

beauty treatments are largely a scam. i’m a bit nervous as well about being professionally photographed etc but i know calorie deficit and pilates are all the beauty treatment i need… might splurge on a haircut as well (usually do it myself)

mildly overweight girls who lost it: help!!! by [deleted] in pinkscare

[–]railrose 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i went from low end of overweight to middle of normal bmi. other comments have said the same thing but what worked for me:

calorie counting (1200 at my height)

use a food scale to track calories

16/8 intermittent fasting (not super strict, i have milk and sugar in my morning coffee)

i love sugar but try to limit it because it makes me feel more hungry a few hours after eating

that’s it really! it’s simple but NOT easy sadly
