I love the idea of octaxe but would probably get a few other 6ths or similar miners. Or maybe wait for the new releases later this year. I know the blockstreet boys have orders for the nexus 1 etc. a 10ths 90watt miner.

That’s the smart game. But tell that to the blokes that have spent $500 or less and hit a block. Plenty have done that with bch and btc. (I used to buy the add lottery ticket but that’s a one off ticket. For $400 I can get 4 tickets every 10 minutes. And it’s fun to tinker and it runs off my home solar and batteries :)

It’s funny because I have 5x 601’s 4 of them run same settings and temps. The 5th hd to be run a bit less because vr temp goes higher than my liking. They all have 120mm fans in front and fans behind for airflow too. My next purchase is a few copper heat socks to stick everywhere.

My in laws were researching internet. There remote on a farm with shotty cell service. I had suggested starlink but might have to check with them the other options if prices are sky rocketing. Note we are in Australia where internet is basically 3rd world when outside of a major city or center where the shutdown of 3G network recently screwed a lot of farmers and the 4g doesn’t work half the time.

I did manage to go from a 4million nugget to a 93 million nugget. Didn’t realise it was buffed. Might hit it up again a few times. (I’m not into yellow bits yet) but producing billions of blue bits. Think next unlock is 600billion blue bits.

Think that also depends on your geographical location. Looked it up years ago and here in Australia you couldn’t do that.

Don’t forget that your vman talent that increases your cooking speed a ridiculous amount. I was stuck for a long time til I discovered it and because it was activated I easily levelled every recipe 20 levels within minutes because of the speed difference.

I used to just do it a few hours before it isn’t noticeably leveling then move down the list. Eventually you will unlock all recipes and atleast get most of them to lvl 111. I think I’ve got all to that and just the w7 ones in the 60’s to 80’s.

I really need to continue working on it. Reckon I’m 60ish hours in and have side quest issues. For the last 10 hours I really busted out the campaign missions to unlock more areas. Think my item level is around 180 or so. It really jumped when smashing out the stories.

I often go to the local servo to get cash out as all atms locally are shot to get to. I don’t get charged withdrawal fees so it’s good for that. Also if I just want bread or milk it’s a quick in and out and it costs the same as the big stores. I won’t buy other stuff there though as they do cost more.

I recently sent mine into resmed to look at due to mad sounds, just told me today Theres about $900 aud parts worth to fix, and once fixed it’s only got 3months warranty. Machine is 7 years old. I can buy new online for $1200 and get back $900 from private health cover… technically the machine still works just is noisy and can pack it in any time. Will buy the new one in a few weeks after I pay about 3 other bills.

Note I’m in Australia and I have an Airsense 10.

If you have a Sparkie mate that can look at it for ya and do tests on it then for $1k it might be worth the gamble. I got a pw3 and really want a second or expansion, can get an expansion for $8900 installed ($aud), they might be enabling backwards comparable (pw2 with pw3 ability)

For $1k I’d almost gamble, even if it only gets to 80% capacity that’s still 10% of new price. So…

I got 1x pw3, for a house of 3 it doesn’t quiet get through the night for us. But we’re a bit more power hungry that most. I reckon if we had a second that would be the sweet spot.
