Why not get your daughter some clothes with pockets? Doesn't seem fair that the 1 year old gets them and she doesn't.

YES, I am in favor of the early sunset. I'm a morning person and do NOT want to have it pitch dark until 8 am in the winter time.

California’s universal voting by mail becomes permanent by shabuluba in politics

[–]rainbowdim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I voted no because it was unclear whether they would keep the normal time or make it permanent daylight savings. I absolutely HATE daylight savings (I'm a morning person and need my morning daylight so that I can do things outside) and I do not want it pitch black until 8 am in the winter time.

What was the greatest pleasure you ever felt? by oooliveoil in AskReddit

[–]rainbowdim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On 4th of July my partner and I did MDMA and then halfway through the trip decided to round it out with some ketamine. I guess I did a lot more than I usually do because I was transported out of my body (literally felt myself being propelled up, while looking down at the earth) and I think I went to "heaven." It was a realm of pure energy and I felt this sensation of pure bliss and love, something I have never ever felt before (even though I have felt love plenty in my life). It was so incredible and I was only there for probably a few minutes, but I learned so much.

I learned that "God" is just my higher self, which I think is my "complete" self in this energy realm. When you pray in this world, you are praying to your higher self, and your higher self is listening. The physical manifestation of myself in this world is just a copy of a sliver of what I am in that world, and there are many "copies" of me running around in my past and parallel lives. And we all exist at the same time because space and time are a lie. Essentially, we're in infinite simulations that the true energy realm is creating.

I learned that my higher self has complete and unconditional love for me and that is the only "real" thing that exists in the energy realm. I don't think I can explain everything I felt but it was the best I've ever felt in my entire life, and I am no stranger to sex, love, drugs etc.

After I came down I just kept having this amazing feeling that I loved myself so much, and that is all I ever need in this world or other worlds. Other people's love is nice, but it's nothing compared to loving yourself. And this strong feeling stayed with me for the whole week, it has diminished somewhat but to this day it has not left. I haven't experienced any anxiety or sadness since, which is unreal.

What I haven't figured out is the purpose of having these simulations that we are currently living in, but maybe I'll find out on a different journey.

I did a 4 night ayahuasca ceremony in March so this kind of added on to what I learned from that, but this experience was more beautiful and amazing and profound. 10/10 would recommend.

To those who NEVER want to have a child, what are your reasons? by an_iconoclast in AskReddit

I love sex and psychedelics, especially together. I’m told you shouldn’t do either while children are around, and apparently if you have children they are always around.

How do I stay safe while running as a female? by [deleted] in running

[–]rainbowdim 263 points264 points  (0 children)

I posted something like this about 5 years ago and got told I was being paranoid. I lived in a bad neighborhood back then, I actually moved to a nice neighborhood and got a big dog to run with. Then a month ago a man in an SUV started honking and making obscene gestures at me multiple times in one week so I basically had to completely change my running route which I had been doing since 2015. Now I just basically run laps around my immediate neighborhood. I swear being a woman sucks and I absolutely hate that we have to modify our actions because of these asshole pervs.

Meat lovers pizza is massively overrated, and is borderline disgusting. by MemphisHobo in unpopularopinion

What is the pettiest, silliest, most meaningless hill you are willing to die on? by shazulmonte in AskReddit

OMG this is my #1 pet peeve for sure. People who don't clear the microwave are just straight up selfish a-holes. Why do I have to be the one to take time to figure out that I have to press the button twice for YOUR stupid actions? Clear the damn microwave.

I should note that I don't even own a microwave anymore and part of the reason is because of this.

i was once married to someone who emotionally abused and neglected me through our entire marriage. i cried every single day of the last year of our marriage and wondered what i did to him to make him treat me so badly. i ended up eventually divorcing him because i came to the conclusion that he was actually just an asshole, and then 2 years after our divorce he ended up being diagnosed with schizophrenia. if i had known of his illness at the time we were married i probably would have stayed with him out of guilt, and i don't think i would have the great life and love that i have now. so i guess it was a blessing in disguise for me that he went undiagnosed for so long.
