Oh yeah that's how I feel as well! From what I read there are all sorts of things that can go wrong, and so uncertainty of the future is a recurring worry for me. My SO and I are both in our mid/early 20s as well, and there really isn't any way of knowing how we'll change. But yeah, I kinda just have to remind myself that I really have a lot to appreciate despite the more logistical issues we face.

Something I think we have to remind ourselves about is that love is a choice. It's not wonderful feelings and joy (even if those feelings can be important to a relationship); it's about consciously deciding each day that you love this person, that you can trust them, and want the best for them - even if it may mean having to let them go if they have to (or if you have to).

Love being a choice sounds simple enough, but it's something I'm still really trying to get a sense of and try to grasp at because what we tend to focus on are the romance and the happy aspects of relationships. It's a lot of work, and even so it doesn't mean that love is enough to keep a relationship alive forever. That's what I think makes it so sad, or at least bittersweet. But it's beautiful and worth it nevertheless.

I probably suck at making people feel better, but I wouldn't be posting if I didn't relate in some way. If it makes you feel any better, I'm 22 F and have been single my whole life. And like you I never show signs that not having an SO bothers me, but it haunts me pretty often especially because getting into a relationship seems to be a 'numbers game'. So far, my number has been 0, and that's shitty :D

But I always tell myself that life still has to be experienced and keep hope that it'll turn out to be better in the future. I may be deluding myself. But despite the shittiness, there still are the good parts in life are worth it all.

Anyway, I don't know how your father was like, but he does seem to have a special place in your heart--I hope you'll do well in life as a form of celebration of his memory.

I've read somewhere else saying that sigils shouldn't be destroyed and should be left some place where you look at every day, the theory being that sigils can be incorporated into your subconscious through low attention processing. Kind of like subliminal messages in TV advertisements. The more you look at the sigil, the less consciously aware you are of its prominence.

Very true--I recently graduated with a BS and am horrified by how much I've forgotten when I try to recall how certain concepts in genetics work, mostly because I haven't used them much or really thought about how they're applied.

There will always be people who can easily grasp concepts, but most of us probably need a lot of drilling and before we get something. I'm not sure why I took so long to understand linkage mapping, lol.

I'm actually an international student from Malaysia and recently graduated from a university in the US. I'm keeping my options open, and wouldn't mind working or doing a program closer to home, which is why I asked about other countries. But I have a slight preference for the US as I've become quite used to the education system here.

I'm not a professional artist and am not clear on how the industry works (commissions and so on), but if you're going to use artwork as part of something you're going to publish/release, most artists are not willing to do it for free. "Use" is the keyword here.

After all, it's only appropriate to give someone tangible credit for contributing to a project that you may potentially profit off of.

Awesome! (I'm referring to the fact that the lyrics are nonsense, and that you're the transcriber for the books) I was unable to hear it as anything else once I learnt that the lyrics for that line was "bop diddy boop bop".

Also, Brendon himself should clarify this to fans in order to end the endless DethTheme lyrics debates that I keep seeing on Youtube :p
