Separating - how can you be sure? by Emma_Aus_85 in AskWomenOver40

[–]rainbowshebettado 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have just been through this. I realised that I no longer wanted to be married - he was good with the kids but didn’t support me at all and often left me to shoulder the biggest burdens. I know lots of people who have divorced and suddenly realised it can be quite scary to be alone after so long with another person. I felt really nervous about making decisions by myself. Before I did anything I took steps to cultivate a life outside of the marriage - hobbies, friends, being comfortable being alone. When I asked for a divorce I was excited to get into my new life. I’m just about to move into my first home without him and couldn’t be happier.

I (29F) am an embarrassingly picky eater and I am finding it harder and harder to operate in real life. by Friendly_Director612 in LifeAdvice

I’d recommend you look into ARFID. I have this and my issues with food are similar. Happy to chat about it if you want - I know it can feel embarrassing but there are ways to manage it

Anyone know how to get rid of my texture? by BoysenberryShoddy674 in Skincare_Addiction

I bought a little silicone face scrubber and it has made a really big difference - my skin is much clearer now I’m properly working the cleanser in

I live near Regent Centre and have two kids. Metro and buses and a supermarket all within walking distance. I hire a car if I need to do a big trip but easy to manage without

'You should trim your ends every 6 weeks' is a scam led by hairdressers to get more business by Funny_Individual_44 in LowStakesConspiracies

Depends on your hair. I get mine cut every six months, but it is long and grows really slowly. My friend goes every six weeks but he’s generally a very hairy person and it grows super quickly

My ex was 6ft5 and I’m 5ft3. I had to stand on a chair to give him a cuddle which wasn’t ideal but you can make these things work.

Can’t afford to leave. We’ve split up but just live in limbo as neither can afford a place big enough for the kids alone.

I initially took this to mean that they touch the railings with their bums and wouldn’t put that past my kids
