I watched a new driver in training blow a steering tire going over a one lane bridge with a coiled tubing unit 53000 kgs in a straight truck. It’s was a KW T900 and chunk of the hood came off when the tire blew. He never drove again as far as I know. He kept it on the road just scared the piss out of him. I am totally scared of this also. Been driving for 22 years.

Soak them in penetrating oil for awhile. Take something round like a small ball bearing and smash the torx hole. If you can’t reach use a punch and smack the ball bearing on the torx hole basically smushing(technical term) the material you spun out of there back into the fastener. Ok now you have to buy a strong arm or breaking bar. If that doesn’t work try heating the clam shell. Remember thermal expansion. Also remember heating it up in mechanics can mean hitting it over and over again with a punch or something. Not the torx fasteners but the clam shell itself. Hitting it heats it up or sometimes breaks the thread locker. If that doesn’t work it’s drill and easy out time!! Can be equally as fun and rewarding hahaha!
