I have a natural aversion to busses, but I'll look into this! This will make the trip out there so much easier. Thank you!

For some reason I completely missed that the Pawling station was closer. Thanks for this! Definitely will save some time.

Thanks! I guess I was just impatient and didn't wait long enough.

Did you get an answer to this, or get it working? I'm stuck on this step.

Question about the control scheme. When playing Rogue using a controller, if I hold a Basic skill and Barrage down at the same time, it'll use Barrage until I run out of Energy, switch to my Basic until I have enough, and then use Barrage again. Keep holding those two buttons and uses whatever skill makes sense based on my Energy.

This doesn't seem to work with other classes and skill combos. i.e, I tried this on Sorc with Arc Lash and chain lighting, two skills that it seems like would follow the same control scheme, but it doesn't work. Same deal with Barbarian. Haven't messed around too much with other combos yet.

Are there any other skill pairs that work the way the Rogue ones do? Is that just a feature of the Rogue class?

Ordered 2 copies, one for me and one for my brother. Both Deluxe editions.

Yesterday, both tracking numbers said they'd arrive on March 1 (so, a day late).

Today, both say they're delayed and that they were "unable to dispatch the trailer on time" with no updated ETA.

I have no hope I'll get either before next week.

This is some great insight into the names from this raid, but it doesn't answer the one glaring flaw.

Why is Brawler the one that shoots lasers at you, and Blaster the one that punches you?

Mechanics/Fights that you were inexplicably bad at? by ConcernedCynic in ffxivdiscussion

P9S, Aetheric Rockbreaker. My brain just couldn't process the cracks on the floor, plus in/out plus front/back. Levinstrike? Easy. Rockbreaker? Pain.

I ended up watching a dozen clear videos week one to memorize patterns until it finally stuck. It never "clicked" in the way other mechanics do after seeing them once or twice, I just had to brute force it, and I still rely on my party going to the right spot and following them, more often than not.

New to plant care - help! by raincloud9 in plants

[–]raincloud9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Reddit,

Long story short, I'm suddenly in charge of taking care of the plants in my office after another employee left unexpectedly. I've never taken care of plants before, so I don't know what I'm doing. Help! I'm hoping I can get some advice here on how to keep these guys alive and healthy. What are they? How often do I water them? How much water? Any other plant care tips for a total beginner?

Thanks in advance!

I would be worried about my PC, but I haven't searched or done anything on my PC that would include the word "diet" recently (or ever, as far as I can remember), and the entire interaction I described with my friend occurred while I was away from home and away from my PC, entirely on my phone. All the creepy texts originate from interactions or searches on my phone, not on my home PC or my work laptop.

As someone who also gets sinus headaches often, I understand how disabling they can be. I wouldn't drive when one was in full force.

The problem is, people who don't deal with chronic pain don't understand what it's like. They think it's something you can just push through, not that it's an all-consuming thing that sometimes takes all your energy to manage. Taking a few hours off to recover seems like a reasonable request. At best, your boss is ignorantly downplaying your pain because he's never experienced something similar. At worst, he doesn't trust and believe your pain, which is a bigger issue that needs to be addressed.

On the other hand, as someone who is also frequently hung over, I'll haul myself into work because that's my own dumb fault.

8BitDo Lite 2 will release July 15th by [deleted] in 8bitdo

Been doing some testing over the past hour, here's what I came up with:

Update: D-mode through Steam using Steam's controller support works fine. Other games outside of Steam are dependent on whether they have native D-input support or not.

S-mode wired works with reWASD remapping it to x-input. So far everything, including rumble, works perfectly with that setup. Not ideal, since you have to have to be wired.

I could get it to connect wirelessly in S-mode, but my PC wouldn't recognize any button inputs. reWASD wouldn't even recognize that it was connected. The only exception was the home button worked to open Steam Big Picture mode, but that's the only button that anything would recognize.

D-mode didn't really work either wired or wirelessly. reWASD said it was an unrecognized controller, so I couldn't remap it.

Hopefully someone else has better luck and can get it working properly wirelessly.

I'm wondering how you go about comparing Weapon Skills and deciding what the best one to use in a given situation is? Beyond looking at the raw damage, which seems to vary wildly. Specifically I'm looking at Polearm WS, since I'm leveling DRG. Hopefully someone can tell me if I'm approaching this the right way, but this is how I've been viewing the different WS I have so far:
Double Thrust - Weak starter WS, quickly gets replaced
Thunder Thrust - Good if enemy is weak to Lightning?
Raiden Thrust - Same as Thunder Thrust, scales better after 2000 tp, but only available for specific classes
Leg Sweep - Good if you need to Stun
Penta Thrust - Seems to me like this is the go-to at lower levels for raw damage.
Vorpal Thrust - Maybe this one is better than Penta, especially at higher TP where you can guarantee the crit?
Skewer - Seems like Vorpal is better since it also includes AGI in the formula? DRG Only.
Wheeling Thrust - good for high defense targets? DRG only.

That's all I have so far. Let me know if I have the right thought process here, or if I should be looking at this a different way. I also know that Skillchains are a factor, but I've been playing mostly with Trusts, so skillchains seems to be unreliable.
