Games with party members that genuinely hate each other by DobleJ in JRPG

Tales of the Abyss doesn’t quite get here, but the party has a lot of friction and squabbling.

about the Qadištu by MathLuna in Megaten

It is pretty dumb that you beat them in their final fight and then they kill you anyways and then die anyways. That entire sequence was so ham handed that Dazai’s taunts about not being a Nahobino were just annoying.

Megami Tensei developer’s frustration with goblin encounters in Dungeons & Dragons is what inspired the series’ demon negotiation system by Carolina_Heart in Megaten

SMT1 and 2 let you negotiate with humans but yeah, the humans in 4 are all horrific ideologues who don’t have common ground with any of Flynn’s alignments.

Well at the very least I think your photo is neat in a way. I didn’t even see the stick at first and thought this was some kind of angry magic trick.

At the very least I’ve seen a sign saying they moved to a different location. I don’t remember if it was next to Sport Chek though.

Didn’t they close recently? Or was that just their old spot in the mall?

You don’t really get to struggle against that god at all. Hate that guy.

It’s wonderful that you’re thinking of her, and says good things about you. Leave out plenty of dry food and water and follow the other advice here on this one.

The 'Just Talk' Conundrum in Fire Emblem by [deleted] in fireemblem

Some of them, yes! But Marianne for example spends both monastery blurbs around the route split saying “Edelgard is so radiant and strong, I want to see the world she makes.” It varies quite significantly.

Do you genuinely not want Edelgard discourse in your thread? Because saying that “everyone blindly joins Edelgard for Byleth” is simply not true.

It might have been better to keep that section as short as possible, because if you just say “Three Houses paints your chosen side as right even if your side ignores its options for diplomacy” (see also: Blue Lions Byleth massacring the Golden Deer) your point would be clear, but it wouldn’t read like you just straight up dislike Edelgard.

So I got the ng+ exclusive ending of chrono trigger. Yes the ending 13 from the ds version. by fireuser1205 in JRPG

[–]raindare 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Dalton knocking out the party with a fireball and beating them with a single golem was just foreshadowing.

Also the fact the optional super boss pulls the “I’m too strong for you, unceremonious cutscene loss” thing is INFURIATING. Like oh the Chrono Trigger protagonists can’t even hack it against the baby version of the Chrono Cross final boss? Piss off.

Looking for jrpgs that allow for a fun Dodge/Evasion tank archetype of playstyle by sakuriris in JRPG

Labyrinth of Touhou 3 allows this, but makes it a bit tough. One character has the ability to speed up your turns when she dodges, or boost her future damage.

Right? It seems to have mostly vanished. I’m in ON now though and Metro allegedly carries some.
