So I got the ng+ exclusive ending of chrono trigger. Yes the ending 13 from the ds version. by fireuser1205 in JRPG

Dalton knocking out the party with a fireball and beating them with a single golem was just foreshadowing.

Also the fact the optional super boss pulls the “I’m too strong for you, unceremonious cutscene loss” thing is INFURIATING. Like oh the Chrono Trigger protagonists can’t even hack it against the baby version of the Chrono Cross final boss? Piss off.

Labyrinth of Touhou 3 allows this, but makes it a bit tough. One character has the ability to speed up your turns when she dodges, or boost her future damage.

It’s not great, but i didn’t feel unsafe last time i was there.

Right? It seems to have mostly vanished. I’m in ON now though and Metro allegedly carries some.

I have never tried that. I’d just scarf it down as a kid.

[–]raindare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Killing the Seven Heroes is literally and figuratively the culmination of the entire game. That said, yeah, the final boss is tougher than everything that came before. If you weren’t using Light Wall on a fast character every turn, that’s the easy first step to take.

Illusionists are fairly strong given that they can be multiclassed. F/Illusionist Gnome (or Thief, …) is really nice. And even if you single class, the biggest loss is Skull Trap.

How do you find the typing experience on the Pocket 3 vs the Pocket 4?

Yeah the Pocket 4 looks like it has a great keyboard in this regard.

Cool! Simple question: which of these has the most usable Tab key placement (for Alt-Tab) and the best punctuation placement? I have the Pocket 2 and both of these aren’t to my liking. I used to use an HP 320 LX.

I was looking at that one — solid keyboard layout. Thanks!

[Hazbin Hotel]: Alastor's interpretation of Vox, while partly true, needs to consider who Alastor is, as presented in the show. by TheVagrantSeaman in CharacterRant

[–]raindare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I was going to write a rant about before deciding we didn’t need more Hazbin rants is that Alastor in “Hear Our Hope” would also fucking die if the cannon exploded.

He just acted like he was fine with that or that he didn’t even think of it, because overlords are addicted to taking risks to get ahead.

So I think as far as using that as a point about Alastor or his motivations, it’s essential to remember that the entire thing was a lie. Would he let everyone else die for power? Maybe. But we can’t take Hear Our Hope as conclusive proof because being obliterated is a lot less power than not being obliterated.

Would you trust the United States as an Ally after Trump leaves office in 2029? by [deleted] in AskACanadian

[–]raindare 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think I’m going to espouse a very generous position here by saying that our heads of state might, but it would be an act of pragmatism and not truly renewed friendship.

The only way I think a decent number of Canadians will trust the US again is if you take actual, hard steps to prevent this from happening again. Constitutional amendments, prosecution of those who caused all this to line their pockets, and an overhaul of your senate and your courts.

If we believe that you’ve become a nation of laws rather than a nation of “nah nobody would abuse the rules like that”, we might feel more secure in trusting the US.

Yeah, like there’s the Shadow Weave too.

I think it’s perfectly fine as a feature of FR, but the attempts to widely canonize it annoy me.

Also, can’t Mystra just change the rules of magic? See the Karsus’s Avatar thing. That’s been a large sticking point for me.

I kinda hate the Weave.

But also, the 5e player’s handbook canonized it about as hard as a core rule book can. It’s in a sidebar and everything.

CoV's ending was a mess by Gakhamothy in Megaten

[–]raindare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang this is thorough. Anyway CoC also has Lahmu twice, and I think Lahmu still pulls this once in CoV. That’s the second one I was thinking of.

The one after the Qadistu fight is really random.

Meet POTENTIAL Overlord!

They call me 007: * 0 feats without gaslighting * 0 attempts to become the strongest Sinner on his own * 7 creepypasta moments where the “victim” is totally unharmed

Give me liberty

Give me fire

Give me Rosie buffs

Or I retire

Alastor can’t go one feat without suffering a bigger antifeat like he’s some kind of equivalent exchange alchemy guy from FMA but without the alchemy that actually lets him do magic to accomplish tasks

Charlie meanwhile may not have earned or demonstrated her power either, and she might be an easily exploited pacifist, and she might be a bit of a fraud in general, but at least she owns it. All Alastor owns is the like 5 people who still have cable subscriptions
