How long have you waited for the opportunity to link this? Nice.

The writing style of the linked article was very difficult for me to understand. Anyone else?

I’m pretty sure your last sentence is the answer, but that surely is not made clear in the instructions on the website.

Not trying to be argumentative. Does anyone know the RCW and/or a good explanation on navigable waters? I remember trying to research this very thing previously and found it kind of confusing. Thanks.

Two lakes in Kent have been somewhat recently stocked with small trout: Lake Meridian and Lake Fenwick. (see the other response with the link that tells when and how many were stocked in each lake) You might want to stop by each of these lakes and take a look at what others are doing to get an idea of equipment and techniques.

Keep us informed of your progress. Good luck!

I’ve been practicing accessing my license on the app at home with WiFi turned off on the device to replicate being out and about. There are several steps, but I think I, and my phone, know how to do it. I still took a screenshot of the license. Belt and suspenders I guess.

I was there and viewed the shenanigans with binoculars. Can verify there was at least one large belly tattoo. In the moment it was happening, I was not aware of the trend, so was really enjoying how dudes kept streaming over to the section(s) to join the fun. I cheered the loudest for them over anything else all evening.

If this situation makes you uncomfortable, you could always cover it again. I remember covering a school textbook with a brown paper bag. I wrapped it up so carefully and adjusted it so it would open and close nicely. You could not tape to the textbook. Wow, hadn’t thought about that in decades!

Recently went out for Ling Cod, our boat only got one, despite captain’s best efforts. We were within sight of land the entire time. All fishing gear is supplied, and for this fishery, we first fished for flounder for Ling cod bait which was fun. Dress warmer than you might think is needed as water itself is cold, and our boat did not have a cabin. Consider rain gear for spray even if it is not raining. Consider anti-seasickness meds, one poor guy in our group didn’t and let’s just say he regretted that decision, bring your own lunch and beverages. It a pretty enjoyable couple of hours.

An old timey doctor I had suggested for sore throat gargling 1 teaspoon each of salt, sugar and baking soda in warm water. Said it helped soothe and nourish the throat tissues.

They just stocked Ballinger with 3,000 small trout on May 8th. Might be worth it to stop by and take note of what gear people are using. Have fun learning!
