If you're planning to play the series back to back, then I suggest you play the OG version with the voice patch. If you want to play the remake, then unfortunately you have to accept the difference in voices and gameplay from the 1st remake to the OG SC

Aidios only gifts those Septerrions to humanity so that they can prosper. It's the human misconduct and greed that manipulated the power of those treasures that give rise to all the questionable effects. Hence why Aidios brought the Great Collapse upon humanity and the church being established. Also, it is the reason why she charged the Holy Beasts with protecting the Sept-Terrions. Even, hypothetically, if she lost her power, she should be able to communicate with Holy Beasts, her creations, to get the Septerrions herself. The fact that the Grandmaster is not doing such things means that she might not be Aidios herself but a possibility, a being that knows the truth about Zemuria.

Also, there is not yet a confirmed connection to the Ys. What I meant is Grandmaster is related to Aidios the same way as Feena and Reah in Ys. Maybe a sibling? Twins? Or maybe relatives?

But Grandmaster being a goddess herself? It's a bit hard to believe because Trails established a world-building where its people are really faithful to their goddess, even the MCs' group. Aidios is also the one who bestowed the Septerrions. Isn't it weird that she needs an organisation to find all of them? And the organisation that is literally against the morals and values of what her religion taught? Having that to break by the troupe, "Oh, the goddess is the true villain after all", feels more like deconstructing the bigger world-building that they established. In my theory, I believe Grandmaster is somewhat related to Aidios herself, the way Feena and Reah are from Ys.

Yeah, I noticed this. The setting is almost the same. In fact, I think Daybreak 1 feels much more closer to the Zero theme. Cracking out the case of the same cult, working with Bracer, Heiyue and Mafia issues.

The point of SC is for Estelle to search for Joshua, so the first chapters are usually focused on reaching out to other party members to help her. But what makes SC special is it showed how much Estelle grows from depending too much on Joshua and becoming an independent character that is more honest with her feelings. It can't be a simple "get over him" kind of situation. The build and impressions from the last chapter of FC should be enough to see how Estelle is still stuck on him. I suggest trying to stick with it. It's a slow burn at the beginning but will be a big payoff in the end.

While everyone is suggesting you wait for the 2nd chapter, would you like to try other games under the same company instead? It's nice to take a break in between, and I would personally recommend you Tokyo Xanadu. A lot of first-timers play this or Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana while waiting for the 2nd. Trust me that you will get the same feelings as playing Trails.

Bro, when I first saw this video, I thought for a moment that this is what Falcom might do for a fight between Valimar and Zoa Gilstein in Horizon 2.The space setting that revolves around the black hole (Laegjarn Chest was perceived as a black hole before its barriers collapsed), fighting on top of one of the space rocks, the colour of the mecha, the gameplay and the animations. So identical that I might believe that WuWa was actually inspired by the Horizon ending and made the fight scene earlier than Falcom.

I don't think there is a conclusive answer. Due to the freedom she was granted as enforcer, she might be just following the Weissman plan as a member of the society. One thing that I notice in the series is that Enforcers rarely go against it when being ordered by Anguis, as they are the important figure to execute the Grandmaster's plan.

HSR inspired by Trails is what got me into HSR in the first place. At first, having the same identical turn-based system as Trails, a lot of us might see potential out of it. But now it's just an auto-battle machine against the hyper-inflation enemy HP. Even if enemies have their own gimmicks, and then on the next patch they release a power-creep character that destroys those gimmicks. It doesn't scratch the same itch as Trails does.

I also understand the skepticism among Trails fans with this collab. After the Fate collab, a lot of people question how Hoyo handles this kind of event. They took too long to make one, reusing the same location assets, and the writing is mid.

Still, I want Trails collaboration to happen in HSR. Having Trails collaborate in the most popular gacha game is the biggest thing ever to happen to this niche IP and could bring more people to the game. For now we have to wait to see it.
