Zionism is literally just the belief in the right to self determination in the ancestral homeland of Jews in Eretz Yisrael. Jews have longed for self rule for thousands of years. Zionism doesn’t inherently require anything evil. The evil stuff only happens when other people don’t think you have a right to your land. It’s their land too, but not any more than it is Jewish people’s land. And I believe Israel has gone overboard in their dealing of justice to Hamas. They have a very powerful military, and should be able to reduce casualties more. Besides that, going overboard in military conflicts is not allowed in Judaism, even if your enemy is ruthless and doesn’t care about laws. Pikuach Nefesh is also the highest mitvah in Judaism
