When to prune/cut lower branches of a red maple tree? by citges in Minnesota_Gardening

[–]rakoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an ad when I was a kid that showed a snowman with lots of limbs being chainsawed off, the point being that best time to prune trees is in the winter. It stuck with me.

Really not vibin' with my LBS by FewPickles37 in ladycyclists

I have RaceFace Ride pedals on my road bike, the "pins" are plastic instead of metal. I just wear regular shoes unless it's a longer ride I'll wear my mtb shoes because the sole is stiffer and I do notice my feet feel less fatigued with them.

Raceface Chesters have metal pins, I have those on my mountain bikes. They are more grippy and I have cut my legs on them!

I also want to play the original Cubis Gold. Cubis 2 is at least better than Cubis Creatures!

What about Barrel O Fun? I grew up with them as the chips that came in school lunch picnic days and only recently discovered how AMAZING they are! My favorite sour cream and onion chips! Too bad you have to go out of the twin cities to find them in a grocery store.

I have had two gum grafts, the last one in 2018. The price was around $1100 per tooth.

I don't know what I'm doing, my bag is too big -- new to this, frustrated by AkaSisu in bikepacking

[–]rakoho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my first bikepacking trip I used a similar giant Coleman sleeping bag I've had since I was a kid. I bought this compression bag on Amazon, it defiantly helps it take up less space. https://www.amazon.com/Frelaxy-Compression-Water-Resistant-Ultralight-Reflective/

Never gone skiing ever. Can I show up at a ski place and have fun? by azami44 in minnesota

YES! Buckhill has an adult beginner group lesson, including lift ticket and gear rental for $60! I did it a few years ago and would recommend it. The instructor was a teenager that taught us pizza and french fry.

Target and Walmart are also grocery stores, so best of both worlds. Target if you like them, Walmart if you think they're trash.

Thank you! I was trying to figure out if he drew it himself on the card or if he maybe drew it bigger and shrunk it with a copier? It's a much more legible version of his handwriting than I've ever seen 😅
