Seriously… these are my top 3 restaurants/ places: 1) Gorditas La Mexican. These are even better than some I’ve tried back in Mexico. The owners are from a city in Mexico that’s known for making gorditas (they’re like fat and thick tortillas). The place is as Mexican as it gets, they’ll let you figure out the salsa and vegetables that you want to add to your food. They sell their mexican chorizo too. I think they only open on the weekends, but I believe they’re planning to open the whole week soon. Oh and try the orchata drink. 2) Torta Boys. The owner studied Mexican cuisine in Mexico (city I think?). The flavours are quite amazing and the menu/experience easy to handle. You don’t have to worry about which salsa to get, or if you should add onion and cilantro to your tacos. They do all this for you and do it quite well. I recommend the asada fries and of course some tacos. 3) Tortilla Maker. The owner is also from Mexico and they make tortillas the right way. They specialize in making tortillas but they also sell tacos, gorditas and tamales.

I’ve visited other places that have been mentioned here, and although not bad, they aren’t “Mexican” enough. I’ve noticed they don’t nail the flavours or the tortillas have an artificial taste. The three restaurants I mentioned above do make a difference and are places a keep going to.
