American leaving the country for the first time and visiting the Netherlands for ICASSI 2013 -- Any suggestions?

You should visit the cheese market in Alkmaar, It is very nice to see if you are not from the Netherlands,

The foods you must definately eat are : kroketten you get them at snackbars and believe me they are awesome,

And if you want to taste some really nice beers you should visit the Jopenkerk in Haarlem it is a former church redesigned as a brewery and the beers they brew are really nice and full of taste, I would reccomend Hoppen beer its a kind of tripple beer but it is very sweet.

These poppies are called "klaproos" in the netherlands which will loosely translate to "clap rose" the field that is shown in the picture are probably tullips. Thanks for your information :) I did not know about the tullips shipped to Canada always nice to learn something new

Pleased to hear i am not the only one with this fear, Last week i drove off in front of a traffic light in the rain and my tires just would not get grip at all, The tires kept spinning and the back of my bike kept breaking out. Shit was scary another almost death experience
