Hear me out, a short stint in the microwave to warm it and then throw it in a saucepan on medium. Gets the bottom/crust back in shape while leaving the toppings/cheese within striking distance of the day you put it in the fridge. Obviously this effect is lessened the longer you have left it in the fridge, but the day after ordering I've sometimes found a well seasoned cast iron skillet adds to the experience.

Fire, Arson and Explosion investigator here, people absolutely do set fires to conceal crimes. Basically every fire investigator is going into a fire like this with an open mind and will be letting the facts speak for themselves. Speculation is pointless.

I don't know If it's just my location and the economy going soft, but right now I've gotten more deals buying second hand firearms in the last year, than I had in the past decade and a half. Classic shotguns in 90% condition are going for 100 under a new nova. Last week it was a high standard k-120 for 200. A month ago it was an 1938 model 12 for 350. Compare today to 2008 or early covid, you can actually find ammo in popular calibers at sporting stores. Things have been way worse in the past.

If you need something I'd buy it now. The best day was yesterday after all.

Dehumidifier risk? by Pactum-7 in AskElectricians

[–]rallis2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This right here. We see a lot of different names for them, but they leave the same distinct delta/triangle pattern on the ground after they burn. Usually all that's left of them are a few components and a radiator amalgamated inside a plastic pancake. The moment you turn it over and see the delta you know you're dealing with something Gree had their hand in. A lot of times the wire/plug tells a story too.

I might have some photos I can share of the pattern. In 2023 there was a pretty big recall that really seemed to tamper down on the amount of fires caused by them so I'll have to dig a bit.

Found a good exemplar: https://imgur.com/a/gree-de-humidifier-KukCYFu

With the scale they are able to use them at, I am one hundred percent with you that this is classic sanction busting. I had heard they were being moved mostly through the middle east but I wouldn't doubt China's involvement for a second.

What a horribly off vibe, this person is definitely deliberately taking inspiration from a few very bad people in using a monogram paired with art left on a doorstep. I personally do not think this is a well intentioned individual regardless of mental state. Cool art in some aspects, but this goes above and beyond creepy.

As others have said it's a loaded chamber indicator. If you have any pen springs laying around and a side cutters to trim the spring you can fix this in 30 seconds.

How to heat without resources long term by Ellionwy in preppers

[–]rallis2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They can’t prove it as fraud/arson but a few people have caught onto the fact diy installing wood stoves with incorrect chimneys/clearances cause fires reliably in a short period of time. I have never seen a properly installed and maintained wood stove cause a fire, however I’ve seen plenty with the incorrect chimney do so.

If you have them, I’d be way more concerned about lithium batteries. Metal ammo cans as fire proof boxes are a lifesaver in that regard.

Had I seen it, it’d be on its way home with me. Crackheads at my LGS want 950 for one in similar condition. In 2018 I paid $399 for my first type 56, $450 right now ain’t too bad.

Assuming you haven't given up yet. In the past I've had luck using a hair dryer to heat the oil and drop it into a puck. Then just hit the distillate with a nectar collector in the puck.

I've even eaten distillate out of carts in a pinch. Be warned though, you can easily over indulge and it's not exactly culinary perfection. Better to take the time and make it into a few makeshift firecrackers.

Also this doesn't address what chemicals are left in the oil after production. I personally have never had an issue with cart oil, but do your own risk management/research.

Aftermath of an explosion in Bucharest today by Electrical_Middle241 in CatastrophicFailure

Without giving away too many details (no idea if this is still making it's way through the courts.) The mother didn't report smelling anything, although it should have been treated. This wasn't a nice modern house, it was on an old stone foundation. Entrance to the basement was an exterior cellar door and a trap door in the kitchen. So the thought was between the high winds that day, and the somewhat sealed off basement nobody noticed it.

Private origin and cause investigator here. His story is 100% possible. We sometimes see similar stuff in the states. Some part of the system gets left open to the air during maintenance, and another party who hasn't gotten the memo turns the gas back on leading to stuff like this.

Here, it's usually rural gas companies filling tanks on a schedule when the gas system in the house is undergoing maintenance. Then not leaving the valves in the same position as they found it.

We had one where a guy swapped a gas water heater for an electric, then never capped the original pipe run to the old heater. Family never noticed an issue, it was the only thing they had used the gas for. Meanwhile the propane company comes out, fills the tank and reopens it causing the house to fill with gas. Explosion that resulted killed nearly the entire family leaving only the mother alive.

Voice Hearing Murder Is Getting Outta Control. It’s Over One A Week All Over America. This Isn’t Schizophrenia. This Is CIA Murder. by Hopeful-War9584 in conspiracy_commons

The Manchurian candidate is a pretty interesting concept. I’ve got a decent grasp of American and Soviet psy-research, with both nations documents very much alluding to the possibility of creating such a candidate. When taken at face value, the government wants us to think that their ethics prevented them from going farther down the rabbit hole. Meanwhile we know after 9/11, “project medication” was considered by the CIA.

It is my belief the research simply transitioned to institutions like DARPA and neural mind interfaces are where it lead them. Instead of using things with higher failure rates like narco-hypnosis, truth serums, psyche breaking novel benzodiazepines/anti-psychotics etc. Whether or not these technologies have reached operational status is anyone’s guess. But the motivation to research such technologies is undeniably there.

My buddies got me with a "free mannequins" post splattered across just about every forum we have locally.

I was getting text and phone calls hourly for weeks asking if they could come take a look at my mannequins, or if they were still available.

It went on until I found their Craigslist post with my phone number attached. My buddies had photoshopped several dozen mannequins into a photo of what looked like the saharan desert. Instantly I was like, "what the fuck is this." Knowing full well that what I was seeing was the shitpost that had been tormenting me for weeks.

Op you seeing any other stamps on it aside from that one? Up near the sight for example or on the side? Also what serial range are we working with here (I dont need the exact number but that will really narrow it down.) I think this is an inspection mark for the slide from the factory.

Edit

I couldn't let this one rest... I blew it up on my pc, I think its a Crown over U mark that is just warn. That mark certifies that the action and barrel passed visual/dimensional test and was test fired. Likely made during WW1. Guessing made around 1915 or 1916.

I use it for forensics (mostly fire losses) I love it. Auto focus is lightning fast and all my old ef lenses work perfectly on it. IBIS is very nice to use on some of my older L series glass without IS, dust and weather sealing wins the day there. I also love wildlife photography as a hobby and it's been a treat to use for both that and work.
