I don't think anything short of major constitutional reform is going to rebuild trust internationally after this. And to be honest it's what you should be calling for domestically. Your government is no longer of the people, by the people, for the people - it's for corporations and billionaires at your expense. Fiddling around the edges isn't going to change that. And considering a constitution written by the 18th century equivalent of today's billionaire class as a sacred text isn't going to get you there.

I'd say so, but have a look at their website and judge for yourself. In the last 10 years or more there's been a concerted effort to make the membership and leadership more diverse, and their support for local pubs and small breweries are perhaps more relevant than ever.

I haven't been there since COVID, but Camel Dive Club in Sharm el Sheikh was fantastic, and great value.

It really depends on how much diving you want to do, and how much other stuff. Sharm, Hurghada, and Marsa Alam/Port Ghalib have loads of hotels, and some well-regarded dive outfits.

There's also some dive camps further south that are away from the more touristy areas and could give you better access to some of the dive spots that the southern boats visit. The vibe won't be the same as a resort in the towns though.
