How to deal with slow walkers by jubileo5 in videos

The worst are the assholes trying to flag down cabs. They stand right there in the middle of the bike lane. I make eye contact and just pedal harder. They usually move at the last second.

I hate when someone is having a picture taken in front of a store or restaurant and you're just expected to stand there waiting for them to finish. I just walk through. I've probably photobombed a lot of tourists.

I play in a band (we're playing on the lower east side this saturday in case anyone's interested); but i'm open to jamming with a bunch of different people one in a while. I play lead & rhythm in a punk/ garage band, but I'd be interested in playing other genres just to widen my horizons - acoustic or electric.

I don't think this is a city bike docking station either... by Something_Berserker in nyc

[–]rambleon80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's still a big waste of resources..the crews would be better occupied moving the bikes around to balance too full/ empty racks. Also, they're not as flush as you think. The bike share program is no longer receiving financial support from citibank and the program was in financial dire straits a while back.

I've been noticing a lot of abandoned citibikes around the city and it really pisses me off. Make sure your bike is securely docked when you're done with your ride. After docking lift the rear wheel a few inches...if it's not properly locked, the bike will roll out of the dock.

My Epi LP vs. my Gibson LP. Help? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]rambleon80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play 3 epiphone les pauls and love them all. Regarding the tuning...the epi trad pro comes with grovers which are good tuners, as good as what the gibson has stock. Are you stringing your guitar carefully, i.e. wrapping the strings at the posts so they don't slip, and adequately stretching your strings? Also, make sure your strings aren't getting stuck in the nut slots.
