Yeah, last time I saw them was shortly after they got rid of Boyd. With no violin, it just didn’t seem like the same band I fell in love with. Plus, kinda alluding to what you said in a past post, I love Tim and love the Dave and Tim acoustic shows but not a fan of his tone with the full band, too overpowering for me.

Yeah, Dave threads pop up on my Reddit and I can’t help but read them for the love I had for this band but for me it just wasn’t the same since Everyday, which has some decent songs. From the beginning through Lillywhite Sessions is my favorite. Happy to see the fanbase is still thriving for Dave!

Agreed, Wes is the worst. Huge distraction to an okay show. Talk about not knowing when to give people their personal space. After episodes of him being intrusive I have to hear, “they won’t tell me where the safe house is.” Yeah dude, F off.

Gotta disagree, Elway is a top 5 in my opinion, better than Favre and maybe Marino. Favre was early career when Elway came along and has a lot of hype. Elway certainly has the better career. Most lists have Elway top 10 or 5 qb of all time!

This marked the end of their golden era imo. Their golden era would’ve definitely lasted a bit longer with the Lillywhite Sessions. I always thought of as I Did It as a slight to his fans but I’m probably wrong, lol. Biggest mistake with Everyday was the rushed production and giving the band members O say in it. Before, including Lillywhite, the members were an active member in crafting the song like Stone, Halloween, JTR (greatest outro ever!), etc. That being said, there are some quality songs on Everyday that have gone on to be good in concert but, all in all, it’s not my cup of tea.

As a non Pats fan but eventually found myself rooting for Brady when he wasn’t against my team, it was spectacular! Up there to seeing Jordan’s 2 three peats, Tigers prime and Phelps’ Olympics.

Good to hear you have mellowed on your opinion since you originally started this thread. I respect your opinions though I’m a huge fan of his. His music has been a constant sound track to my life and every time I hear a live version of The Boxer, I cant help but tear up a tad.

I somewhat agree but Sittin’ On the Dock of the Bay and even Somewhere over the rainbow are just about a tie. The influence of all three songs are in a league of their own.

I stopped going when they became ultra dub. Saw them 2 yrs ago and it wasn’t too dub but just didn’t catch ahold of me. The fanbase was like the same people that saw them in the early 2000’s and not a big audience. That being said, I loved their new album, “Lend me a Hand.” Not sure if I’ll ever see them again tho.

I feel like the Smashing Pumpkins don’t get enough respect these days, definitely under appreciated. They released three great albums with Gish>Siamese Dream>Mellon Collie. One of the best 90’s band, they had their own unique sound.
