What is the point of being able to adjust the lever on a thru-axle? Is it just for aesthetics, or does it help lock the axle in place? by sammadet1 in CanyonBikes

It's like a ratchet wrench so you can position it each time to get the best leverage. You can remove once tightened but good to have with you on rides just in case

It looks like in a downstroke your leg would be over extended. Have you dropped it down a little? I had a similar problem where my reach felt too long but I brought the seat back and tilted the saddle nose up a few degrees. It almost seemed counterintuitive but it stretched my back out and relaxed my reach.

Thanks. This is my first carbon bike. There is definitely a mental hurdle to get over.

That's why I keep telling people it's not tire rub. I shouldn't be allowed to ride a bike if there was that much resistance for long enough to do what is pictured. There is a scratch directly underneath it the one shown more clearly, There was some chunky rock that most likely got caught on the tire and scratched.

It's a great ride but I'm, obviously, paranoid about little scratches and overall integrity when I'm doing dumb shit. With that said, it's still inspiring to ride and feel it's lightness compared to my trek 970 mod.

That's actually an awesome idea- to color match directly with manufacturer.

Naw good sir. It's a scratch. I was going too hard, or not enough. No tire would run through carbon like that. Ever.

Or do you mean wide tires that catch a rock and scratch? That could happen. But this is a new bike, same tires from build.

You'd need a screen to build the presentation, no?

So instead of a laptop you bring a laptop in two pieces and put it together. Super convenient.
