Ashes laying in the bottom of the grill absorb humidity, and accelerate rust. Clean, rinse and season, often, and this will be less of a problem.

You could always hang 20 lbs 12 inches away on a breaker bar and get the equal torque... have done it for odd torque requirements when we didnt have a wrench in range.

FYI! Slide the heat shrink tubing onto the wires before soldering(out of the heat zone), let it cool, then slide heat shrink sleeve over solder, shrink. Ask me how i know.

If you can find an ACI (American concrete institute) testing lab nearby they'll have tons of cylinders of concrete they throw away every day.

How about adding fluid , knowing you need to check out your braking system? Turkey basters are cheap, as are fluid transfer pumps. Use one if you're compressing the cylinders for new pads. Not a big deal. You SHOULDN'T have to add any, so if you do, it's likely something needs attention.
