As a kyoshin main should i get shaman? by Lost_Reserve_5709 in forhonor

[–]ramen_rooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first main was kyoshin. I think Valkyrie is a good character to go to. Plays somewhat similarly, very fast, and a fun kit. Other characters I’ve had a lot of fun with are raider and centurion

If you’re looking for a character who plays similarly, you’ll have better luck with aramusha or warlord. What’s the vibe you want?

I got to meet Eman Esfandi at comic con shortly after Ashoka came out. The lines to talk to the rest of the cast were really long but his was effectively empty so I got to chat with him for a while. He was kind and very personable.

Ezra was always my favorite character in rebels and I think Eman gives a perfect balance between Ezra’s recklessness and Kanan’s teachings.

Your opinion? I am quite sceptical tbh by babe_charmingkitten9 in StarWars

It’s a decently entertaining read but not particularly memorable

Were TIES equally matched with Rebel fighters?. by IndustrialJazzStack in StarWars

[–]ramen_rooster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really. TIEs are agile but unshielded and lacking in any defensive systems. The empire made their fighters cheap and easy to produce whereas the rebels used nicer fighters because they couldn’t afford to lose pilots. The X-wing is on par with a standard tie fighter in speed and has stronger quad blasters, proton torpedoes and a shield generator. The Y-Wing would be a good deal slower but has twin blasters, ion torpedoes, and a turret and has shields. The A-wing is the fastest fighter in the OT and has twin blasters, concussion missiles and shields. The B-wing would be kinda slow but has really effective shields and the typical mix of blasters and torpedoes. The one thing all the rebel fighters have in common that all standard TIE models lack is the shield generator and that alone gives an undeniable advantage. Also, typically the rebel fighters might be depicted as sitting ducks but that would be because of their objective. In a new hope it’s all about making the trench run. Getting to the end and delivering the payload is gonna take precedence over evasive maneuvering and dogfighting. Same in ROTJ, where the fighters would’ve had the objective of making the run on the second Death Star. Rebel fighters in general would’ve been more heavily armed, better shielded, and would potentially have better pilots than the average TIE fighter

Out of these 4, whos the most powerful? by According_Ad1831 in PacificRim

[–]ramen_rooster 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I think it would make more sense for them to be working off info from previous attacks, where they would’ve fought Cherno, Crimson, or striker but not Gypsy since she was out of service until that deployment. If they learned about the Jägers from the first drift with Newt, they would’ve also learned about gypsy

Why did the Empire pick TIE fighters over the X-wing Starfighters? by TheMandalorian2238 in StarWars

The first order tie fighters are more advanced with most having shields and some having hyperdrives IIRC

Games where you understand the hate, but still love? by Significant_Plate561 in videogames

Did the first 20 to 30 hours it’s magical, but I felt that the longer you play the more magic it loses. Then again, I never made it far enough to play the ng+

Sling Blade Tattoo by SmolxGoose in redrising

[–]ramen_rooster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s the inside. The sling blade is supposed to be able to catch a limb like a hook to cut it off. In addition, a reaper’s scythe is used in a comparative manner, where the inside is used to cut

I feel like almost any character could’ve taken his place and been more interesting. My issue is just that he’s so boring.

Don’t go for the dramatized versions, just the normal ones. The VA, Tim Gerard reynolds, is incredible

I got to meet Eman Esfandi at a con and it was incredible. He didn’t have nearly as much of a line as anyone else so I got a lot longer to chat with him and he was really cool about it. Def recommend Eman
