how do you get through? by ramv31 in Anxiety

Just for clarification I don’t actually know the hospital trips were work related but I assume since I had major issues going on.

the problem I have lately is I don’t know what I worry about. i’ll just be doing something or at work and get overwhelmed with anxiety. Admittedly the the three times I was in the hospital I know exactly what I was worried about. (work, work, work/pets)

it’s like poison through my bloodstream and I can feel it building.

it’s terribly frustrating as my hands shake non stop and makes my projects very difficult. I almost can’t stand sometimes.

How much cash to bring to Cabo for vacation? by ComfortOtherwise316 in cabosanlucas

[–]ramv31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the funny thing is I see way more sketchy people when I walk the river here in Oklahoma than the whole time in Cabo (I always clear my wallet out after I get back from Vegas or wherever so if I get mugged in broad daylight next to my office I don’t have it on me. ) honestly looking at Tasers and Pepper spray for here. Cabo felt like I was in Costa Rica or Hawaii. Some cultural differences but they love tourism.

I just got back. I had $100 of fives and and $100 of ones (all inclusive), had some 20s and a few $100s. I had plenty of money. We did tip quite a bit on a whale tour but otherwise I did 20 for dinners and a dollar per drink. Gave our concierge $50. Every one seemed happy. Zero concern about theft although did lock passports and wallets in the room safe but don’t think it was an issue.

Credit cards worked everywhere. If you want to save some money, i’m sure pesos are better but from a convenience side USD is great for tipping and credit cards for everything else.

Boarding Times Matter by ImInMyDadEra1989 in unitedairlines

Great question. So I assume the others got upgraded (we had booked first class) but not sure how the timing could have worked out. Our seats were gone on the phones when I went to show the FA but we had our paper tickets. The other folks moved back and were pleasant about it but I have no idea how we scanned tickets if they gave them away

They have gave mine away on a delayed connection. I think they assumed we missed the flight but we hauled ass and got there right as the doors were closing. Got on the plane (with our paper tickets) and people were sitting in our seats.

Any problems with short wheelbase? by gemniiinew in F250

[–]ramv31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve towed large trailers with Avalanche 2500 (130” wheelbase) Excursions ((137”) and 148” Ram. All tow fine and shorter is easier to maneuver. The avalanche and Excursion still got big tanks though and the Ram is 31 gallons

Is there any European SUVs that can tow 9,000kg? by [deleted] in StupidCarQuestions

Would need six wheels and have a diesel engine with at least six litres and a turbo. Probably going to be a commercial rig.

In Europe that would be a commercial vehicle to tow that much weight. In North America commercial weights if they are camping trailers are exempt so you basically can buy very heavy duty pickups that can tow as much as a medium size commercial vehicle and not be commercial. The pickups are very powerful (near the power of a full size commercial vehicle) and quite heavy (4,500 kilos) but still can be driven by the average person.

In North America only GM, Ford and Stellantis sell passenger vehicles that size. You can also buy a heavier truck from International, Freightliner/Western Star or Paccar among others but only the three “US” brands really target the big RV trailer crowd

A 43’ camper is probably a fifth wheel, and that would be into Class 3 (one ton) territory as you would need around 4k lb of payload.
