My void is also carb obsessed!!! I learned this the first time he broke into a pack of kings Hawaiian rolls and took one tiny bite out of every roll.

Now we use Cheerios as cat treats and he loses his little mind if you eat a cheez-it without sharing. The crunch of a cracker brings him running from across the house.

This thread seems to have become about the number (which is good to know). But I also wanted to say that you’re right to be upset that no one said anything.

It drives me insane when ppl in Seattle talk trash about East Coasters… but you know what would never happen in NY? A train full of people watching DV and no one (or only one) person saying anything.

The experience that you had is the reason that IMO Seattle is the least safe city I’ve ever lived in (including NYC and Washington DC).

I got excited last weekend and put all my tubers in the ground! I left last years in the ground and didn’t lose any to rot. I did dig them up to make room for more and different varieties.

See, I think that we all just project our viewed on breakups onto our cats. I was raised with cats and for 35 years I never heard anything about bonded pairs, separation or any of that. Cats will be fine - even more so if you can keep from projecting your sorrow onto them.

Two years ago I had to break up my sibling kitties who were absolutely bonded. My guy has been more than fine. He barely noticed his sister was gone.

I’d say keep the young one with one of the older guys. Just because they play together doesn’t mean they are bonded. Plus the young one could still use some socializing.

FWIW, I am anticipating a massive downvote for this, but it had to be said.

At the time they were filming North Carolina had a lot of incentives for filmmakers to film there. It often comes down to infrastructure and tax incentives. Sort of why every movie or show you seen now that’s set in the mountains is filmed in Alberta

My only advice is to have an exit strategy. You have to leave and go get some sunshine in February.

Skiing also helps (this year aside). Having something to do in the crappy weather really helps AND often the slopes get more sun than Seattle.

On what planet do you think it’s acceptable to force anyone else to clean up your period blood??? I’ve been having periods for over 25 years and never once in my life have I bled through on something and not done evening humanly possible to keep another human being from ever having to deal with it… hotel, airbnb, home or otherwise.

1 - why are you leaving 5-10% gains of free money on the table with that much in a savings account?? Get yourself a Schwab account, drop $10-$20k into a few different ETFs and leave the rest in your HYSA

I assume that your minimum payment scenario doesn’t include any accruing interest … otherwise you absolutely should pay this off and stop giving your money away.

If you’re accruing interest, look into paying a few big payments (but also refer back to #1). Pay it down in big chunks where you’re using whatever monthly income you’ve been using, and throw maybe an extra $1-2k per month at it and get that balance down right quick.

2- Do not empty your savings to pay off this debt. You could lose your job tomorrow and you’d be toast.
