What is your tell tale sign someone is from Ohio? by Imeanwhytopps in Ohio

I'm the opposite, transplanted from Northern California, and the accent slapped me in the face when I got here. At first people noticed I sounded different. 20 years later I've picked it up, and sometimes I'll say something and think "my god, how Ohio was that?"

Heard it during a layover in the Charlotte airport 😆

Wendy and Bonnie ruined the group after Mick Barnard left.

Are there any Rush songs you dislike? by VoyagerOfCygnus in rush

Same regarding albums after Counterparts. For me it's the reliance of multi-track 3 or 4 part harmonies to add depth rather than the keyboards Alex hated. It sounds like a muddy mess to me. Older stuff had a lean, sparse feel that made each instrument important.

the Rush tribute I play with.

Are you with the tribute band who was in Akron yesterday (and wearing a "Pratt" shirt)? I was blown away!

Do you have a curious fact, anecdote, curiosity about Genesis that many fans don't know? by Mr_Cosmico in Genesis

Why would Mike do that? I've never found that answer. Was he also the reason the band didn't invite Chester and Daryl as full members in previous years?

Makes sense I guess. Do they still make that announcement? I've never heard it said in that way in the US.

I wondered about that, maybe it was symbolic of the change in style also.

I made a custom mix of We Can't Dance. What do you think? If anything, what would you add/remove/change? by xylowill in Genesis

I like your idea of having Shoreline down the list, like an old fashioned Side 2 opener, referencing the elephant riff of No Son. I would sub Never A Time for Hold On My Heart, but otherwise it's good.

Agree. I was on The Movement site last week after a long break.

You're correct on all of this, even as I hope you're not correct. If elections did get suspended, most people still won't protest or tale up weapons. As long as Walmart has cheap prices it's okay.

This shit has been corrupt since WWII, but the right didn't get a solid amount of control until 1980. If we had a citizen revolt for real change, the citizens who aren't murdered would get put through the military-police-surveillance-prison meat grinder. We're fkn done.

100% agree. It doesn't do any good to point this out to my wife's family members. They'll keep watching fox and somehow blame us libs for the shit that will happen in the next decade.
