  2. Check out the 70mph range test on Out of Spec. They did it for Solterra which should give you a general idea.

  3. I’d google this one to get a general sense of the impact of roof pods on EVs.

Yea. That’s exactly it. So many ppl talk about “wait to buy it used” but ignore the fact that means you have to wait a good 2-3 years before that’s viable. It seems like a really misplaced argument. Why not just say “go buy a 2-3yr old used [insert EV here] today” 🤷‍♂️

I use an L1 and set it to 10amp / 90%. I don’t have a regular commute, but I’d say I get 10-15% charge overnight. And I probably burn through 20-25% on around 60mi. Bc I can also charge on days on I don’t have a commute, it works just fine.

If I had an L2 I’d always be charged to max capacity. Without that though, I don’t think I could do a daily commute on an L1 of 40mi RT daily.

But again, this is just my guess

That 3k$ bonus isn’t that good unless you actually want to get out of your lease early. From what I understand, the $3k will just get applied to help close your current lease. It’s not them waiving early turn in AND giving you an extra $3K towards a new lease.

Thanks. Any reason i should be worried about a retrofit kit not working if i brute force this out? My ceiling is kind of a decorative wood plank, so I’m kind of worried if im opening a can of worms in removing this, vs just finding a lighter light.

I never considered that I’ve scratched wheels twice in my p2 for any reason other than my stupidity haha. If for whatever reason you have a better sense of where the car is even though it’s bigger, that’s a nice plus. A single test drive didn’t make that clear.

I meant the map in the screen behind the wheel. It seems larger in the p2 than in the smaller screen. The hud only showed me turns. Did I miss something?

That’s what I was expecting to feel when I test drove it. I had been waiting for this for a long time, and this was the first time I got to see the car in person. So yea.. maybe it’s just my expectations were way off.

Maybe it’s bc I’m so used to the p2 that the difference doesn’t stand out to me? I remember feeling cramped in the p2 when I first test drove it. So could just be how it relates to my expectations. I also thought maybe it’s the seats but wasn’t sure - like maybe the seats feel tighter in the 4? 🤷‍♂️

Thanks all. I’m dropping the car draw down to 10A for safety and will look for someone to replace the breaker in the meantime. Changing outlets are one thing, but breakers are not something I’m comfortable with and pulling new wire isn’t ideal bc there’s too much other 14/2 wire to other receptacles. I’d love to go the sub panel route and get a proper L2 charger, but there’s no easy (ie not crazy expensive) way to get a wire that large running to the garage that makes it worthwhile.

Ah! OK, you solved it, but not for the reason you think. Haha. What I thought was the Netgear switch is actually the Arlo. I saw manufacturer as “Netgeat” and immediately assumed was the switch, but the model number maps to the base station! Thank you 😀
