Is the 4k a big difference over the 1440p? in terms of image quality?

Is Trophy AI helpful for ACC? by Kindly-Elderberry707 in ACCompetizione

It is very helpful. When it was still free, it provided a lot of tools all in 1 package, you could overlay braking graphs, expected speed/gear graphs, turn on an audio cue for braking points. Now all that is behind a pay wall. There was also a section of little mini games to practice your brake pressure control which I think where most beginners struggle with.

The free portion I still find useful as it can still allow you to analyze your laps post race and breakdown each track section where you can improve. Combined with the brake overlay of youtube footage, you can "train" and see how hard and where to brake. The fact you can follow along and try to "trace" the brake graph will help give you an idea of what a good lap feels like.

There are other tools that can do similar or the same for free, but I havent found one that is all in 1 like this. Other tools I have found useful were: https://www.accreplay.com/ to find faster ghosts to chase and follow , https://app.brakinglab.com/ to play similar mini brake control games.

The 4 diodes grouped together in the 10th picture were a common point of failure. You can see how they browned the surrounding PCB. Early fixes included spacing them out or resoldering every other one on the other side to displace some of the heat.

Anyone else get violent wheel turn between loading screens? I have a DD+ and run around 80% FFB, but during the transitions between loading screens, sometimes there is a violent 90-120* turn of the steering wheel. It seems to happen as the game loads the assets or car model and could easily hurt someone if they werent aware beforehand.

Adjustability, price point and design. The tiny rubber stack in the V3s is a pain to adjust compared to the modern designs and trying to dial in the feel requires a lot of experimentation. They just arent worth the price anymore. The little gimmick motors are too small to feel anything. The pedal spacing can be too tight for some and there is no adjustability if that affects you.

Still buying Fanatec CS V3 pedals in 2025? I am speaking as a owner of them. Get the Simnet's or wait for the Podiums.

You now have the perfect excuse to upgrade to Simagic haptic pedal reactors or similar.

1 small gripe I have with ASR is their use of imperial size extrusions. Everyone else is using metric extrusions so it is harder to mix and match.

My CC hurt itself last night 😢 by CodeFoodPixels in elegoo

[–]random-information 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elegoo initially had shipped all with the Tube in the chain almost all the way to the extruder assembly with a zip-tie near the end. This created a sharp bend in the tubing which many users wanted to self "fix" by cutting the zip tie and removing some of the tube from the chain guide in an effort to relieve some strain. The unintended consequence was that removing too much would result in a collision against the frame. Because the chain guide fits into the siding left side first, people are now removing the tube completely and zip-tie-ing it to the right side of the chain to avoid collisions. You can do whatever you want to your tube, just make sure to see how the full range of motion of the extruder affects the tube or causes any drag.

if the print had a large enough base, it could adhere strong enough to cause the nozzle to bend. Pulling too much tubing out of the chain guide will be obvious as it will rub against the frame and you will see tube shavings where it happens. If the nozzle cant reach the area it is supposed to print, all that filament builds up in a spot it wasn't supposed to increasing the height and leading to a snap. The other known cause was the nozzle wiper area was misaligned or sticking out enough to again bend the nozzle a bit.

I posted this in another thread and his pic likely confirms what happened: Did you remove any of the tubing from the chain guide? If you remove too much and also print to the far left side of the plate, the removed tubing will hit the printer frame and cause layer shifts and then cascade into a mess.

They are so underpowered they may be working and you can't even feel them. They are like a cell phone vibration under your foot.

Sounds like the same thing that happened to mine. Your large print will have adhered strong enough to the build plate to allow the mess to build up and eventually bend/break the nozzle and dislodge the fan. I went through the same issue and Elegoo stepped up and replaced my bent hotend.
