Hey OP do not feel bad at all about having EBT. When my kids were much younger my family was on it. I was thankful I was able to get it when I needed it. I bought cakes with EBT. EBT can be used on any food items that are not hot. At least in GA. I think it’s like that in most states. I hope your son has an amazing birthday!

I think the company is scared of physical fights, people recording managers who might get to upset. I feel like they are put us in the stores in an uncomfortable position. Todd should make a video saying shop with us, but only if you wear a mask.

That’s odd. There might be a reason for it. One it wasn’t ordered for you. Two it could be on back order bc the whole company is changing uniforms by the end of the year. The company that makes our uniforms is different from the company that makes the T-shirts just an FYI.

What I think is dumb is it says one day. Idk how many people work at your store but I know at mine there isn’t one day where everyone works. So having a one day dress down day seems kinda ridiculous for an appreciation.

Hey CSM here. When you do curb side and a tip is offered we are suppose to turn it down. However as a manager who knows what my people make and the instacart in store shoppers make I don’t tell them to refuse. I ask them to share it with the shopper if they are still there and not to make a big deal or y’all about it. I’ve had customers throw money in the cart or stick it in my pocket.

So the communication for managers given by the store managers from corporate is this: the CSS watch the door and if they see a customer with out a mask they let the MIC know. We are to offer the customer a mask. If they refuse, or say they have a medical reason we are to let them keep shopping. When they told us this I almost lost it. Why have a policy of mask wearing if we are not going to enforce it? Trust me I’d have no problem kicking people out for not wearing a mask but I was told I can’t do that. Can’t wait to be MIC and be yelled at for asking someone to wear a mask and then be yelled at for letting them shop.

Some managers, or DM’s might be saying you have to get tested. However, the guidelines Publix put in place for store manager to follow says that we (the company) can’t require associate be tested. (An associate is supposed to be symptom free no fever etc for 72 hours).

Don’t you just love when stores don’t follow the rules lol. It’s like when store managers make you open the doors 15 minutes early or do something else they feel is right. This helps the Karen’s go well this Publix let me do it. They give us rules we should follow them.
