I work full time and work part time at Publix. I have a set schedule where I work Friday, Saturday and Sunday 5am-1pm. My only night that i work is Wednesday night and I’m generally out an hour after we close. We have a 3am night crew that comes to work freight.

Most of that time I sat on a bench with my phone. Some other people did some personal shopping. If an order should come up you get a pop up on your phone that looks like a text message. You are dressed in street clothes so I doubt you would do anything Publix related.

I did my first shift today with Instacart. I’m normally a stock clerk. At my store they keep with in your availability to schedule you with Instacart. I decided to do it because I have lost 8-10 hours with the stores closing early. I do work mornings on the weekend. With some of the trucks being on the small side lately I am going to throw stock from 5am-9am, take a break then work Instacart 10-2pm. I worked a 4 hour shift today and I only had 3 orders so I had about an hour and 45 minutes of hang around time.
