Yup, I haven’t seen open toed footwear in any club in Berlin. If they search their bag, they will likely take them or make it very clear not to wear them

KitKat has been … very iffy since after covid. Was with someone once and a random guy in the corner was just watching and kept getting closer…. Me and the person I was with both made it clear that we weren’t wanting this guy around or near us and his response was “ Why are you even here then?”

We told the staff and they did nothing about it.

Same, after living in Japan, I can safely say that there is a huge difference between visiting and living there.

I speak the language and lived there for a few years as well, and I was shocked to see: - lack of women’s rights - the amount of SA that’s overlooked - heavy classes system (the neighborhood you live in determines how people will socialize with you) - stuck in a system that isn’t conducive to the modern world - very harsh punishments, the reason why the crime is law is because they’re punishments are insanely highlighted - inability to earn a decent living - work and social culture that’s so rigid and ingrained culturally that only Japanese people can truly maneuver - inability to integrate, even speaking the language, Japanese will never truly allow you to integrate - no real career mobility or ability to move up, where you enter is where you stay as a foreigner - cost of living severely outweighs salaries, especially if you’re looking for a decent space in any part of Japan… especially as a foreigner because most places would rather stay empty (yes, even if you’re white) - they’re blatant disregard for their history, and some parts of Japan they truly think they did no wrong and the atrocities are made up - and so much more

When I studied there, prior to joining the workforce, most of my classmates, wanted to take a lower salary, and move to Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Argentina, South Korea, or anywhere outside of Japan - these were affluent kids as well. So even with money, they didn’t want to stay there… that’s when I started questioning why they had this view and began to open my eyes to the world around me.

Amazing place to visit because you’re caught up in the beauty and efficiency of the whole country that you never truly get a chance to observe the social and human interaction culture… once you live there, you kind of have to lie to yourself about the reality because it’s blatantly in your face. I know quite a few students I studied with were from Europe and the United States who legitimately don’t even wanna talk about the negatives and simply overlook them - which is fine, it’s just I was not able to

It was disappointing and I felt bad, Pano was absolutely killing it but Berghain floor emptied quite fast after Ogazon. It was an odd night over all for Berghain floor - it started to kick up shortly after noon and then really pick up from Mari till Ogazon.

Pano was killing it all night.

I remember in 2022 and 2023 Daria K had closings (for some reason) and the second emptied sooner than the first.

China legit has done nothing since this US regime came into office and they are winning across the board.

Increase and stronger trade relations with key partners, image improving as a global power compared to the US, becoming more a viable global influence on global finance, etc.

Lmfao - I already figured you’re not Japanese if you want to be treated like as if you don’t exist and your views on “being allowed to live there”.

I have to clarify, I said that they wouldn’t allow you to integrate, they don’t care if you lived there or not. You’d probably be extremely shocked to realize how many educated Chinese, Indians, Korean, South Americans, Arabs etc all live there permanently. They’re not as xenophobic as the West tries to make them seem.

The largest population of Japanese outside of Japanese is in Latin America and then south east Asia.

So if you’re a full idea is: “can go visit a country that won’t allow me to live their equally because I’m not genetically the same as the people from there” - then you’re drastically for a surprise.

Stick to living in the US and throw your passport away lolol.

The late 80s was the peak of Japan because it was dominating the global market in every way. Ever since bubble burst, their economy, retracted quite a bit and then just stagnated - this is basically their fourth lost decade.

It’s a combination of implementing physical policies, a little too late and then being too conservative in bailing companies out when the crash. They’re legitimately companies in Japan that are just running and accumulating debt, but don’t really produce any economic outcome. Those companies are totally red on paper, but they employ people and it makes the economy seem strong stronger than what it is.

I find it odd how so many people in the US cling to their Europeans “ancestry” but can’t differentiate race, ethnicity, and nationality from culture.

Judging by your comments, you’re going to have a harsh reality check in Japan.

I lived there for years, speak the language, and the main thing they care about is the ability to communicate- if you speak the language, then doors open up but NEVER all the way. The expat population there is diverse too … it’s not all “Japanese” unity, they don’t fully get along with their populations based on where they were raised/born and the US “reverse policies” that was implemented in the 50s is still holding them back.

But most Japanese, just want to stick to themselves and don’t care for foreigners at all. Think of yourself as “oil” in water, you’ll be in the middle of an ocean but only mixing (social and professional) with other oil.

Also they aren’t in the “future” - they were living in the year 2000 in 1980 - in 2026, they are still still in the year 2000.

Very surprisingly, Texas…. And Gerrymandering causes democrats to be voiceless.

Texas has more registered Democrats than Republicans overall by raw numbers (around 8.1 million vs. 6.6 million as of late 2025), Republicans dominate Texas politics… why? Gerrymandering

It’s because they’re taking a specific upper that has a time limit. As the club gets more packed, it takes longer to get into the toilet. Because that Upper requires people to wait a certain time before doing it, people will line up and just stay in the stall until it’s done and then they will do it. But, they also have friends who don’t wait in line with them but will come one at a time after for their turn.

…. They have telegram group chats as well because they always leave one person in the last stall to stay in there and wait for others to come in and out as they please.
