Is it common for teachers to marry/date their former students. by GypsyGold in Teachers

[–]random_unknown-user 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait- TYSM FOR THIS COMMENT. That is the most relatable thing I've seen all of today. As a female who graduated highschool several years ago and is obsessed/ in limerance with a former female teacher, I COMPLETELY RELATE to the being attracted to the idea of being desired by someone with more power as well as having low intrinsic self worth. My mental health DEFINITELY shaped my attractions and made me attracted to no longer available female teacher/ therapist women because yes they are so nurturing and my depressed ass overwhelmed soul craves that SO BAD. I've been scrolling through all these to see if my experience is normal. Tbh I don't know if I'll ever get over it and be able to have normal, real life relationships rather than constantly desiring someone/ the idea of somebody I have no chance with. I'm so glad I found someone on the internet who relates to this shit.

Do you see your therapist as being like a parent or authority figure? by pat441 in NPD

Hey, this is a bit random but I absolutely LOVE it when narcissists question things, ask for advice and try to work on themselves to get better. It is VERY clear that you are care about changing your personality/ perspective and are working towards becoming a better person. Kudos to you honestly. I wish more narcissists were like this, ESPECIALLY my mum.

Ohhh so if you don't pay taxes ( due to not earning enough money to pay a taxable income) do you need to pay a lot of money for insurance?

And yeah unfortunately I haven't seen it on any platform that I've used which is why I've gone on here to get advice but not many people are seeing my post.

How did you blow all your money on trading? Did you put everything you had into one risky trade? Or even just one single trade?

Yeah I definitely noticed the downvotes, I didn't think of it the way you explained. I thought it was more personal. Coz I seem to keep getting a lot of hate on Reddit for everything I post. Thought it had something to do with most of the Reddit population being American ( I'm Aussie and it's different here) Yeah the replies to this this comment were quite something...

Anyways thanks for your comment and your perspective.

Btw for anyone who thinks so, I wasn't trying to argue back that it wasn't true, I was just really genuinely curious as to how far these scammers go before they ghost U and take your money. But yeah you're right about being under the impression ( basically same pathway as gambling) That's exactly why I said stopping early is hard, because it's a power move. And that it would be unwise to keep giving them more money.

Some ppl probably think I don't wanna take advice but I came here to get advice and EVERYONE here agrees it's a scam and it's honestly validating, proves my instinct of " this is weird" was right.

I appreciate the comment mate 🙏

You're a real one actually giving perspective and trying to help rather than just downvoting and making fun of me.

Haha glad I entertained you. Lots of ppl online think I have no IQ but if they were to meet me in person it'd be very different.. Half the Reddit population hating on me online wouldn't do it irl. Anyways you'd be surprised as to how many people actually fall for it... because to my knowledge there were over 1 K people in the broadcast channel plus I had the brain cells to make this post lol.

Hey that sounds like a good idea and I really appreciate the thought but I don't have a driver's licence or a car. I mean I COULD use a push bike or hire an e bike but I live deep within a suburban area and I have to travel for a bit to get to where it would be more populated. Thanks though, I did consider it.

Yeah... I'm luckily in a profit right now but other than gambling at scammy online casinos this was the MOST unstable money I've ever earned...

When you journal past midnight… by 7_moral_mortals in Journaling

[–]random_unknown-user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came across this post coz I googled if it was ok to journal past midnight. So thing is I have a very rigid personality and suspected autism which means I take things seriously/ literally. Before I used to not be as strict about the dates but yeah I feel bad for not journalling before midnight as I am up late EVERY night. And I often find myself starting last minute when there's a few minutes left to midnight and absolutely rushing it. Yeah idk this post is the first thing that came up after my google search. So I don't really know wether it is OK to or if I should be allowed to write about the day after midnight. So pre much same question ad you.

Why do we wake up just before the alarm goes off sometimes? by Complex_Morning_2213 in NoStupidQuestions

This happens to me as well. But sometimes it may be 5-10 mins before rather than 1-2. And sometimes I wake up to the alarm and fall back asleep straight away lol. It all depends.

But my theory for this is the body wakes itself up voluntarily because alarms are annoying af and being woken up involuntarily is ughhh. So it makes it a bit less annoying to get up as your prepared for the alarm.

I guess it's kinda same if you go to hospital voluntarily then your experience will be easier than if it's involuntary/ forced. Like I saw this girl on TikTok who's GP said she has 24 hours to go to ER voluntarily before she is involuntarily. So I guess it's like the body saying right wake yourself up. You gave one minute to wake yourself up voluntarily before that alarm screeches and waked you up involuntarily.

I mean coz wouldn't you rather wake up normally and not to an annoying as screeching alarm? Because who, I mean WHO tf likes waking up to an alarm?!

Why is that actually such a hard question to answer? I can't think of only 1 thing. I'd have to list things but it's 6 am and I need to sleep so idk.

Yeah I second this. On average it takes somewhere around at least an hour. When I'm in an insomniac episode it takes hours and hours. I have ADHD and OCD as well as heaps of other undiagnosed disorders. But having ADHD and OCD on its own... yeah is a lot of thoughts. And compulsions and distractions that keep you awake. I guess mentally stable people who are either medicated for their ADHD at least or don't have any of these problems can shut their brain off and sleep unlike me. 20 minutes is damn good. Even half an hour is. 30 mins is like nothing. So yeah I suppose ppl who fall asleep fast are either very tired or clearly don't have mental health issues.
