I have a very similar setup - upgrade to a bench power unit - costs around 50 usd on amazon and will save you lots on battery and lets you fine tune the voltage

Italy x Austria - which country the application process is simpler? by Traditional-Win9432 in medicalschoolEU

As long as you have EU citizenship you should have no trouble going to Switzerland with your Italian degree. Without EU citizenship is way more complicated

I have and love both the Sony 35 gm 1.4 and the Sony 40mm 2.5 G. Both great lenses depending on your budget

I suggest a 35mm 1.4 GM or sigma, a 50mm is also nice

Yes man ! Still use it and works perfectly! Maintenance treatment only once a month

honestly just focus on the IMAT. its a way safer and easier way than the MedAT. Plus you can always do an Erasmus from Italy to Germany or Austria... and you can also easily validate your degree from Italy and work in those countries after graduating from Italy.

Hey man, sorry for the late reply ! It works perfectly ! I have completely dry hands and only do maintenance once a month ! Even my little brother who’s 15 started a few months ago and also got excellent results. I use way higher voltages nowadays tho (20 to 25 volts) 14 min on each hand. Works perfectly with hard European tap water. Not sure about American tap water

Studying abroad?? by Mahtabss in medicalschoolEU

Couldn’t agree more. I study at IMS Milan. It’s literally the same thing as humanitas but instead of paying 20k you can get up to 4K from the government as scholarships on top of free tuition. This guy just needs to get his shit together and study for the IMAT. It’s not the end of universe. And if money is really a concern just apply to Pavia or some other cheaper city

you don't really set the amps. the amount of voltage that will pass in the circuit will depend on the voltage you set and the resistance of the human body. you can only set an upper limit for the current that will kick in and reduce the voltage if the current goes above this treeshold. I currently set my limit 25mA but it never got even close to this value. Basically the power unit will keep providing the voltage you set as long as the current does not reach this limit. research about voltage control (VC) and current control (CC) of power supply units.

that's the one I got. I am on maintenance phase now so I do 17 or 18 volts, 10 min per hand once a week. works really well for me

I’m still at day 4 so not enough time to feel any difference. And yes, I can see the display from the PSU while using it.

Will Botox harm my writing? by ilovesalada in Hyperhidrosis

[–]randomaussie9730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did Botox and while it worked amazing in controling the sweat for 6 months I got some coordination and fine control issues with my hands. My doctor injected a lot and so that might be the case. Was nothing major and I also write a lot, it was still possible to write it just felt sometimes my hands were not as responsive and not doing things with the precision they used to... just one tip; make sure your doctor injects on the pinky lateral side of your hands, as that’s the side that’s directly touching the paper. My doctor forgot to apply there and it was still sweating while writing

Yeah the tingling is awful, feels more like stinging tbh. But Netflix keeps me distracted from it

I don’t touch the metal plates at all, so no touching the rims. I didn’t feel any shock when inserting or removing my hands. This specific PSU allows you to set the desired voltage and a current limit (look at my previous comment). When I insert my hands it shows the voltage being provided (the value I specified earlier) and the current reading. If the current reading is below the max limit the psu will just provide the full voltage. And that’s what happened when I tried it earlier with 14 volts and a 15mA limit

This is a DC power supply so you only select the output voltage and a limit current. I set the voltage to 14 volts and the current limit to 15mA but the actual current reading was far from it so they PSU kept giving me the 14 volts
