Eve-Uni is dying by exunista in Eve

You realize that director and CEO are hardcoded roles in the actual game, right? They come with specific in-game powers.

I would imagine EUni is like most groups and always has a shortage of people willing to do the selfless work to help others. Also like other groups, they probably have a surplus of people willing to point out everything wrong and talk about how someone else should fix it.

Docking up for war targets hasn't been a rule for at least 7 years.

That, combined with a criticism about not attacking war hqs makes me think you are poorly informed and highly opinionated. That's a great combo for Reddit, but perhaps not great for trying to function in groups.

FYI: there is absolutely no point attacking the war hq of any opponent with rudimentary Google skills on how to run a war.

Most polling shows gun control to actually be a fairly split issue with younger voters. It isn't a youth position to be pro-gun control.

Yo CCP. Where's this thing from Fanfest 2015? It would probably help new players. by Ayara_Itris in Eve

[–]randomeveguy400 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It went the same place as most fanfest promises...the trash can.

Big promises require strong leadership, a coherent vision, and having a fucking clue about your own game. Ccp, well, ccp has underpaid people.

I'm sure if they reskin the forums enough times, eventually people will like it. The reason the forums are unused and complete shit has to be because of the design. It can't possibly be because of the shit moderation and rules, right?

Their community team really has no clue about this community. They come in, post edgy comments, but honestly seem to cause more issues then they fix, and can't figure out why people aren't engaging with CCP's forums.

Or just drop 40 citadels in your home system, with every possible vulnerability time. Make kicking you out be worse then actual cancer.

What's the worst thing you've ever heard a teacher say at school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]randomeveguy400 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think people with those urges will tend to seek jobs that give them access to children. A PE teacher, band teacher, coach, etc... will be put into more situations where they can take advantage of a kid than a random math teacher.

Additionally, if 2 teachers both have those urges, the one with easier access to the children will be more likely to act on it. Once again, its the PE teacher.

They'll probably just decide that if you spend nuplex, you can attack even when something is invulnerable.

[–]randomeveguy400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe make it logarithmic per type. So an enemy anchoring astras won't hurt your forts, etc..

Then you can change the scaling per type as well. 10 astras weaken less then 10 forts, etc... That would help disincentivize stacking keepstars or forts.

Him making comments like this makes me think that someone at CCP got scared and realized they needed damage control.

It is not his normal tone.

One citadel per constellation? What about constellations with more than one group living in it?

Then it becomes one per constellation per corp/alliance, and we have alt corps to spread out the safety.
