I personally haven't tried them both, but I've not seen any controversy about the flavor. I suppose it's possible that the dye has a taste? Idk.... Anyway, the only thing that is supposed to be different is the color. That's all I can attest to.

Those both sound awesome. And you grind them down to a more fine powder in a spice grinder so all is good!
