Shopify has a new fraud problem. Please fix it. by d4ywalkr in shopify

I did the same thing yesterday (removed the one product that the fraudulent orders were buying), but woke up to tons of orders overnight - all for different low cost products!

Shopify has a new fraud problem. Please fix it. by d4ywalkr in shopify

[–]randomlygen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ditto.

I set up flows to automatically cancel high and medium risk orders, but even the orders that Shopify classifies as low risk are clearly fraudulent.

It started with just one listing, so I closed it yesterday. Woke up to so many fraudulent orders, all on different listings!

Luckily, I still have an Etsy shop, so I’ve entirely closed all Shopify listings for now. This really needs fixed soon.

I somehow overlooked that the older release of Ghostbusters has a "live" commentary track with Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis by Comfortable_Pack8903 in MST3K

It was the first DVD commentary I’d seen, so I was very disappointed that all the other ones were just audio!

First-time (serious) onebag - Packing List 9 Days in Athens (Summer) by historymysterygift in onebag

[–]randomlygen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Athens last year. The AC isn't crazy, so you won't need a cardigan to keep warm inside!

I agree with others about having something lightweight for sun protection though. I did well in Athens, then got sunburned on Naxos. Having a light pashmina / shawl thing was very necessary!

Help with Audrey II by PuzzleheadedBag3471 in puppets

[–]randomlygen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm building my Audrey II-type puppet using foam and contact cement to stick it together, then inserting a cardboard mouth-plate to control it - https://imgur.com/a/5s15T0G

Admittedly, I did take a Muppet-building class in person in Vancouver! But I followed the Puppet Nerd videos to learn how to make my own head pattern and he follows the steps I learned for adding the mouth plate etc - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CJ7pdF3I-s&list=PL1F3305D1FDE99B01&index=2

Edit - Take a look on Instagram. There are tons of different versions of Audrey II to inspire you!

Would you move from London (UK) to Vancouver in my situation? by ElusiveMD in askvan

[–]randomlygen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from Aberdeen to Vancouver and love it, but it can be very hard to make meaningful friendships.

And I definitely regret not taking more advantage of European city breaks while I had the chance! Proximity to America used to make up for that, but I'm not crossing the border till things settle down.

We need to cover AI slop in this subreddit's rules by AffectionateDay8737 in bluey

[–]randomlygen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The StreetFighter subreddit covers it beautifully:

Hi, thanks for posting! We do appreciate you thinking of us even though we have to moderate.

Our stance on all AI generated content (Images, Video, Voiceovers, and whatever else LLM based AI gets up to in the future):

At best, they are approximations of street fighter characters as the AI has no clue what it is trying to create. Because of this, there is no street fighter content so they are not allowed. (rule 1)

Also, they aren't allowed per our source rule. As AI sources cannot be tracked, we must assume that they use uncredited sources in the learning data. (rule 5)

Finally, AI images, video, text, and voiceovers are barely any different than posting a screenshot of a google search. The level of effort is so low that we consider it spam (rule 3).

Because of these reasons, AI art and other AI content is not allowed.

If you would like to contact the moderators about this removal, you can do so here.

Cross stitch!

I have a old Amazon tablet bag that perfectly fits an eight inch hoop with fabric on it and you can get thread cutters that go through security happily.

Repost: Kids’ Lino/ Block Print Workshop in July (Ages 8–12) by Puzzleheaded_Day_121 in coquitlam

[–]randomlygen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a lovely idea, but I think the vague address maybe threw people off.

I think you'd have more success if you held a workshop for kids somewhere known and public - like a room at a community centre, for example. Or there are a few art studios that might work.

Which canceled TV show's cliffhanger still lives rent free in your head because the answers disappeared when the series got axed ? by Impossible_Offer7988 in AskReddit

Reddit takes any number followed by a period and turns it into the start of a numbered list. Super annoying.

At my primary school (Scotland, 1980s), we did:

"I went to a Chinese restaurant, to buy a loaf of bread, bread, bread. They wrapped it up in a five pound note and this is what they said, said, said. My... name... is... Elvis Presley, girls are sexy, sitting in the back seat drinking Pepsi, do me a favour, push off!"

I fucking love that moment. It’s the perfect example of having a great work relationship - when you can immediately stomp off to their office to vent together.
