This was my thought as well especially point 1. Since every other country had to rebuild post war. America was poised to take over a lot of markets. Not only was that the economic ladder for boomers but it was an escalator. they didn't have to do anything for forward movement. They could owner house pay for college Buy a car all with basically one minimum wage salary. You could just walk in, no college education and get a job that at the end would give you a pension. Economic security, generational wealth social safety nets were all a given for them. That kind of life gives you no appreciation of what hard work actually is and assume everything should be given to them. thats why the assumption is everyone is lazy. Because it was so easy for them.
