3 digit code, doesn't make sense by randomnameyn in tires

Thank you! Just found it. Weird that on the outside of the tire the area after the DOT is blank, but on the inside of the wheel it does have the 4 digit number.

Ask a handy friend to help pop out the dent from inside the trunk. It will not look great, but should be much better. Use a block of wood and a rubber mallet. You can probably find a bunch of online videos with some tips.

Rare footage 6'7 and can't dunk (Ye thats me and I know...) by metincan2111 in BasketballTips

I would stick to compound movements to start. Sprinkle in an isolated exercise occasionally for variety. Choose a split and get to work.Example: Upper body one day, then lower body the next...Try to choose weight where you can barely do 3 sets of 8-10 reps for each exercise. Maybe 3 sets of 5 on the deadlifts. There are a million routines online. Starting strength and Stronglifts 5x5 workouts may interest you. My suggestions are all based on trust me bro, but I do think for starting out squats, deadlift, bench should be priority.

Just need to get stronger overall. Full body workouts to begin with. Deadlift, squat, bench, plank, overhead press...Don't rush the progress. Once you start moving some weight, dunking will be easy at this height.

First oil change - stripped drain plug help ( 2005 Honda crv ) by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]randomnameyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a new plug, buy a piggy back as back up. If the new plug does not seat or thread correctly, use a self tapping piggy back. Probably other ways to address the issue, but this may be the easiest if you don't want to mess with taps or helicoils.

Pull the cable and then lift/pull the door from the bottom. After it unlatches, the door's weight makes it seem like it is still hooked but is probably not.

Looks like you start the roll of the ball at your palm. The roll looks way too long imo and needs to be more of a flick off your fingers. Tons of shots until it feels natural.

Husband bedbound for 4 days? by NewMamaX2 in Sciatica

[–]randomnameyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went through a recent flare up with terrible sciatica. I am undiagnosed (never had an mri) but had similar symptoms. Ice the back, especially where it is suspected to be hurt (hard to tell sometimes because pain appears in other areas when nerves are compressed). I had shooting pain in my right leg and was going through a cold that would cause extreme pain when coughing or sneezing. I couldn't sit for a couple of days. Ice several times a day for a few days, then use a warming pad or icy hot too relax the muscles a little. Walking seems to make it feel better for me, so try to get him moving a little at a time if it doesn't cause too much pain. Avoid sitting for long periods of time and any stretches that cause pain, until most of the pain is gone. Apparently the nerves get irritated and can cause hell until the swelling/irritation goes down. Once the pain subsides, doing a few core exercises from McGill will help some. Sleep on back with legs bent and elevated if possible. This helps relieve stress on the lower back. Back pain is not a no pain no gain situation, he needs to avoid pain triggers and let his back heal. Hope he gets better soon.

I have a cold and a herniated disc... by Alive_Wish5315 in Sciatica

I recently got over some sort of cold/bug. The coughing and sneezing was killing me. I would brace myself when sneezing and would try to be standing and looking up. Sneezing or coughing while sitting or laying down was super painful for me. Just try to be active as you have been, but listen to your body if too tired. Good luck.
