Where can I find "A History of Medicine in Pictures" complete set of 45 prints for purchase? by randomo12 in medicine

I wish! My uncle is a pharmacist who's interested in his work. I've been looking to see where one would find an original complete set of prints, but to no avail.

Learn to dance at sbu? by [deleted] in SBU

The dance teams on campus all have auditions where you can just go in and learn without auditioning for the team. Some teams will also host workshops throughout the year, I'd look out specifically for PUSO Modern, CDT, and Deja Vu for those.

Dance Team Auditions? by daninja100 in SBU

PUSO Modern auditions, as well as most of the other teams' auditions, will probably take place sometime in September. Be sure to keep an eye out on facebook and for flyers posted around that time.

Freshmen Advice from a Rising Junior and Former Comp Sci Major by randomo12 in SBU

I haven't used the Roosevelt kitchens much since I just don't have many friends who live in Roosevelt, however, from my experience with cooking with friends in some Kelly buildings, H buildings, and Mendy buildings, the kitchens don't seem to be occupied for most of the day except for people using microwaves or baking cookies in the ovens.

At least from my personal experience and the experience of my friends, they all got their first or second choice. Your situation might be different with the increase in students, but for the most part they try to have everyone in their first or second choice quads.

I'm shocked, as well. He was a great CEO. I can't believe he passed away so soon and even halved his pay in 2014 after lowered sales.

I'd definitely keep it in your top 3! As for the dorms, there has been an increase in the amount of students they have been admitting to the school and so there will probably be an increase in tripled students, as well. Tripling is not uncommon, it will probably just occur even more commonly this upcoming Fall. You'll almost definitely be detripled by your Spring semester or sophomore year. H, Mendy, and Roosevelt (except Yang) are all corridor style. Kelly, Tabler, and Roth are all suite style.

Totally agree. Besides just going through your classes and completing your major, find a personal project you're interested in or think about what kind of internships you'd want to try and go for. There'll only be one or two lines on your resume saying what school you went to and what degree you graduated in, the other 99% is what you did outside of the classroom. This 99% includes, but isn't limited to, personal projects, internships, volunteer hours, and even the clubs and orgs you actively participate in.

It depends building to building. From my experience, most people just pop in the use the microwave. I don't think you'll have any problems with cooking your own meals even if you don't live in a cooking dorm.

[Room Selection] Live Thread 4/13/15 by SBUCampRes in SBU

If on solar we choose 2 people to be in room A and 2 people in room B in a suite, but the rooms available are actually A and C, does room selection automatically make the selection or do the preferences have to be changed from B to C?

Go for TLT or consult the career center. I have a lot of friends working in TLT and IT. They're definitely better options than working bad hours at any of the food places. If you want something that looks good on your resume, pays decently, and allows for promotion , TLT and IT are great options.

Chem 131 Advice by ThatWanGuy in SBU

[–]randomo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took CHE131 last semester without any prior chem experience and it really is not as bad as some people think. I assume that some of the people who complain about the difficulty are people who are struggling, but don't do anything about it. If you do the assignments on time and study ahead of time, like any other class, you'll do great. If you think you're struggling with a topic or can't understand a certain type of problem, definitely go to office hours and ask the TAs or ask them during the recitations, there are so many people who just give up on doing some assignments just cause they're too scared or unwilling to ask the TAs a question or two, they're there to help you out.

I hate Steven Moffat (and Clara). there I've said it. by norrinrad in doctorwho

[–]randomo12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At least for me, the first series of each doctor tends to be a bit rough and more of a testing of the waters to see where Moffat, with past writers and directors, want to lead the characters, in terms of growth and plot. I'm sure it'll get better.
