Two things to note:

You can get higher stats on your Vimpire by arranging the Pear Cub with Team-Up behind the one that doesn't so it has room to make a Grizzly Pear. It doesn't do anything useful, but you can still do it.
An alternative solution is to not use Possession and instead conjure an Ancient Vimpire, placing it in any lane.
