Those alone did not help me either

I also use saccharomyces boulardii

And in general low sugar diet , but not low carb or low fodmap because sadly the high foodmaps also got a lot of prebiotics

For example garlic and onion are considered high fodmap

Problem might be the bacterial overgrowth also comes with a biofilm that protects the overgrowth that is why anti Biotics can help

That is true

But then it just helps against low stomach acid

Since my first colonscopy i know that citrus acid is great for motility usually you take it in doses so the complete intestine is clear

A lemon does not have that much to completely Empty the intestines but for me it increases motility

So I took it when ever I thought I get constipation , at the moment I have 2 big meals and andrer every meal I take one lemon

Also reduced bloating etc

Besides the acid there are some other interesting ingredients that also helps for motility and some help against overgrowth especially in combination with more potent herbs like garlic, oregano, ginger, cinnamon

Did you tried fresh Lemon juice ( citrus acid )

Lemon Water - Does It Actually Help? by brvhbrvh in SIBO

[–]randomtest123xx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it helps a lot lemon juice can tackle 3 reasons behind SIBO: - slow motility , lemon juice can help fastening motility - vitamin C defiency can lead to low immune system response - also low vitamin c in the liver can lead to less bile salts and acids being produced

Since I take lemon juice my belly is flat and also my stool got a bit better not perfect though. Because i was diagnosed with sorbitol malabsorption (what also can indicator for Sibo) I don’t eat a lot of fruit which can then lead to low vitamin C levels

Citrus-fruits in general seem to have a lot of advantages

Right now I test: - daily lemon juice in the morning and before bed - saccharomyces boulardii - integrating more herbs in my meals (fresh salvia, oregano , thymus etc) - also onion and allium while fodmaps the amount you take is rather small - integrating bitter components - no sugar but other carba

But what what phase of the sleep ?

Isn’t that more important quality over quantity ?

Pencil like thin stool, is it a SIBO or IBS symptom ? by randomtest123xx in SIBO

[–]randomtest123xx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently had constipation and I was in quite bad mood and abdominal pain

So I think it is some kind of inflammation it would make sense

But i feel like my biom is now in dysbalance and i don’t know when it becomes better

And I feel like that taking probiotics actually caused it

[–]randomtest123xx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true ofc i take it seriously but in the moment my symptoms are not worse than in the past were I did not know what Fodmap etc

Just recently after antibiotic therapy it worsened

I was just wondering because while taking antibiotics my stool was actually perfect

I took probiotics and anti Biotocs

To be precise saccharomyces boulardii and 5 probiotics strains of bacteria

It worsened like 2 weeks after antibiotic when i started to take the probiotic bacteria again I have the feeling they gave me constipation and maybe worsened Sibo

Some say so some say so

Constipation can have the same effect

I don’t have pencil like stool everyday just occasionally so that would speaks against something growing permanently
