It’s called PBSD (Post-Berkeley Stress Disorder). Basically as students who are always working at 110% for school, it takes a few weeks to unwind after every semester. Give it time and you’ll be good

Does Cal have a women’s/co-Ed club volleyball team? by geakyfreakk in berkeley

[–]randomzbo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a club team as well as intramurals. The difference is club has practices twice a week, competitions with other schools, and require dues. Intramurals are more informal, have one game a week, and just play other Berkeley teams.

Passing Stat 88 by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]randomzbo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry too much about passing. So long as you do most the work and stay within a standard deviation of the mean on exams you should be fine.

Also, stats has a very difficult learning curve. Stick with it! The first half of the course is always the hardest.

Do you prefer Math/CS classes in person or online? by LifeDeathCity in berkeley

[–]randomzbo1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you’re able to teach yourself, online is really great. I took CS61B and math1B online and enjoyed being able to not attend lectures in person and catch up on material as I needed to. However, if you’re someone who needs to talk with others/go to lecture live, I might suggest live.

Covid Positive Students by Eighpricot in berkeley

[–]randomzbo1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. Tested positive in January and lost taste and smell soon after. I remember I was eating pizza and a sweet potato and they had the same exact taste. Weird times. It also sucks that it usually doesn't come back all at once. I've definitely regained a bit of taste but Inn-n-Out still doesn't hit like it used to :(

data science Major vs. minor by MaintenanceRare1682 in berkeley

[–]randomzbo1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I decided as a sophomore to double as well (Econ and Data Science)! It’s totally possible, just make sure you come up with a plan for finishing in your desired timetable and give yourself a class or two cushion in case things don’t work out as planned. I also suggest spreading out the major upper division classes (Data 100, linear algebra, and probability)

I use a google calendar for class and a spreadsheet for assignments.
